“standard 4* hotel, on the beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

I stayed with my boyfriend for 5 night in sep 2013. I chose it because it is on the beach, close to the airport (20 min drive). the beach is large, clean and sandy. the superior room we had was upstairs looking to the next yard. the first night we could not sleep due to the dogs and rousters next yard. the second day they upgraded us to a dexule room, (looks the same only that is in centered bungalows and no noises). The breakfast is substandard for 4*, for us, Europeans not to tasty. bad coffee, bad service. many tourists were german. cleaning is not their strong quality.

Room Tip: ask for a deluxe room to be able to sleep, the superior one will offer you dogs and rousters songs a...

A traditional Balinese hotel on Jimbaran Bay which looks a bit tired - especially sun loungers, side tables etc. Very peaceful position, with swimming in bay, walking on beach or dining at one of the many small restaurants on the beach to watch the sunset. Food lacked imagination- from the included breakfast (but adequate) to the BBQ seafood. Some staff delightful but had to go and fetch a waiter from inside when seated outside on each occasion ( and hardly anyone there)! Same problem at reception when staff chatting and appearing not to notice several people waiting.
Despite some of the above I would certainly stay again...iris good value.

This hotel had the most beautiful grounds of any where we stayed on our trip, although not the best view (Baruna Cottages on Lake Batur holds that honor). The service was excellent, the private beach was quiet, and the buffet breakfast was delicious. We couldn't have been happier!

We were disappointed with this hotel. The food was not good at all. Especially the breakfast which was unbelievably simple...not only this but the things that were available were not good. For example, dry and tasteless pineapple, very bizarre tasting (certiainly not fresh) juices, and really unexciting and squashed looking pastries. The room we stayed in was also very basic. The bathroom looked like a slightly better version of a Travel Lodge and the 1 small window let in very little light. The only wifi available was in the lobby and it was very expensive to get it in your room. The only positive aspect was the pool which was very nice. Regarding Jimberan itself, although the beach was good (nice and long with golden sand), it was riddled with stray rabid looking dogs! We wouldnt go back.

We stayed here one night before we flew home after a 2 week trip around Bali. Its close to the airport- around 20 minutes drive. You can see it from the beach, but you cannot hear it which is a bonus. The hotel is ok- reasonably priced. The grounds / garden areas are beautiful but the rooms are basic. The bathroom was bad- tiny (had to maneuver around the door to close it), water went all over the floor when showering and toilet rusty- needs updating badly. Lots of water pressure and hot water though.

The beach itself is great... wide, with soft white sand and clean. Water nice, all though not clear like we had seen in other parts of Bali, but fine for a nice swim. The hotel restaurant food was good... had a really good hamburger. Also you can walk 1 minute on the beach to the right to find the seafood places which we loved (this was my reason for wanting to stay in Jimbaran). Unfortunately there were not enough hotel beds on the beach, and by 10 am they were all "reserved" by people putting their stuff on the beds and leaving- we ended up laying on the sand. Seemed like a big resort for package tourists from France and Germany.

All though I asked for a quiet room, we were woken up at dawn by a group of roosters from the house just below our window (we were at the edge of the property with a view of someones house) and they didnt stop for hours. it should also be noted that there is really nothing directly outside of the resort worth seeing or doing- just a busy road Also If you pay for anything in cash at the hotel, check your change.

In summary, this hotel would be good for a day or 2 but probably not longer in my opinion. Ok for package tourists who want to go to the beach each day and are not overly picky.

This beautiful boutique hotel is enveloped in mature, fragrant, verdant vegetation. True Balinese style, 2-story structures are tucked between these gorgeous gardens, and every room is just steps from the beach. Buffet breakfast, served in large open-air area overlooking the Indian Ocean is plentiful and tasty. Our room was spacious, and we loved the net-covered beds. The staff was exceedingly gracious and eager to please. Super service. Overall, Keraton Jimbaran gets three thumbs up from our family.

Room Tip: Center-aisle rooms have easier access to restaurant and beach, and beautiful front porches.

The keraton is wonderfully located on jimbaran beach which is really nice. The Balinese style resort has lots of character and the gardens, pool ae beautiful. The beach is on your doorstep which is great. Breakfast was good. The rooms are not the most extravagant or modern but they are comfortable and clean. The only thing we think the keraton should do is hire more staff because the pool bar was not often attended and the spa and lobby bar close early. Other than that we would highly recommend the keraton to anyone wanting to stay in a resort in jimbaran without paying through the nose!
