My husband and I just returned from Bali where we stayed at Pat Mase Villas. We decided we wanted a bit of privacy on this holiday. One of the reasons we chose this was because some rooms offered a private pool.

Because we found this online we were not quite sure what to expect (sometimes pictures can be deceiving). We were certainly not disappointed at all. Our villa was a two bedroom with private pool. As we entered our private courtyard, the pool was on the right with a bedroom facing it. The living area is open-air with sofa, chairs, dining table and TV/DVD player. Full kitchen is off to one side and the master bedroom is off to the other. The setting was so absolutely private and romantic, we couldn't believe our eyes!

Every morning, our breakfast was made in our kitchen by one of the staff. Room service is available. Although it's limited, the food was excellent.

The staff were extremely helpful and considerate. Anything we asked for was granted.

We took advantage of the couples massage which was great. They came right to our villa so we could just relax and enjoy.

The only draw back is that, right now, they have no beach front property. There are only 20 villas right now that are privately owned (each is a different layout). Only a few have the private pools. We were told that they are building another phase and that they will also be adding a beach front to their property - not sure when that will be.

It is located just after the Four Seasons in Jimbaran Bay. It's a short taxi ride to the beach and restaurants. We did walk one day, but I would probably not recommend that. That day was really hot and the road is narrow and windy.

I would highly recommend Pat Mase to anyone who is interested in simply relaxing in a very peaceful, quiet, romantic setting. Great for honeymooners!
