Bali Intercontinental will offer you a great 5* hotel Facilities with swimming pool overlooking to the beach and full colour of balinese architecture style.
It has its own private beach, massages (at the beach, or on call to your room), health club, water-sports (sailing, canoeing, parasailing), nice swimming pools (even for you kids), a central playroom (babies & kids day care).

Stayed here several times, will definitely go back. Nice rooms, spacious grounds and really great staff make this an ideal and tranquil place for relaxation, yet easy access to other areas including Kuta.

I just returned from Intercontinental, Bali. Stayed for 2 nights, having stayed in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa for the previous 3 nights. We were upgraded to Singaraja room, which was a welcome surprise. My wife and my 12 year old son thoroughly enjoyed the settings, particularly the room and the beach. The beach is clean, with a large part having a finer sand and nearly free of coral debris. The beach was a pleasant surprise for us, having just returned from Nusa Dua, that had weeds, some trash floating around and a much coarser sand. The service at the beach and pool side was excellent, with plenty of choices of places to relax, like close to beach, in the gardens, by the pools, under the shades and so on.

The restaurants looked good, but expensive. We preferred to eat in the restaurants just next to the beach- get to the beach, turn left and you will be surprised at the choices and the perfect settings. The food is quite reasonably priced and so are the drinks.

Overall, it was a good experience and would like to repeat it some time.

We stayed here for 6 nights in April/May. We were upgraded after we requested a room change and ended up with a lovely room overlooking pool/ocean. The rooms are lovely - huge, spotless, and nice and quiet. (Singaraja wing). This wing offers free juice, coffee, tea and pastries. It was fine for us for breakfast but it is not a huge amount of food.

The best thing about the hotel - POOL! It was truly lovely. There are numerous pools but the main one cannot be faulted. There are plenty of beds (and they remove belongings after an hour if no one is there to prevent "saving" beds ahead of time). A huge shaded option (great for enjoying the pool minus heat/sun). There is a swim-up bar and they'll serve food poolside. Just beautiful, especially at night.

The hotel is not particularly close to restaurants. There are the warangs on the beach (low key delicious seafood) but not a lot else. We ended up taxing into Kuta and Seminyak a few nights. The hotel itself has a few restaurants but we only ate poolside (good food, reasonably priced). The strange thing was that the staff could not suggest local restaurants to check out [The Oberoi in Seminyak was MUCH better for that].

Great spa, lovely ground to walk around, good happy hour at the Sunset Bar. There are 400 rooms in this hotel and during our stay there was a large tour group there. I got the impression some people were getting good package deals so there was quite the variety in guests.

Overall, a lovely relaxing stay!! Seems to be a great place for children too (there were quite a few there). If you are looking for someone more intimate, smaller, and a slightly more upscale clientele check out the Oberoi or Samaya in Seminyak.

Located in Jimbaran Bay, so a bit out of place (as compared to Nusa Dua which has a stream of hotels in the area).

Hotel and environment are OK, but lack finesse, particularly outdoors. Service is fine, restaurant is acceptable, but one would probably get tired with the limited choice on the menu (the Italian place was closed for renovations during our stay so no comment on that). A short walk outside the hotel property provides a few other eating options.

A short taxi ride will take you to the Kuta area and nearby shopping.

In conclusion, an OK InterContinental property, but nothing spectacular.
