“Lovely seafood and good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

Cheap and fresh seafood along the Jimbaran beach strip. Waiters were helpful and all the food was delicious! The accompaniments were yummy, especially the Balinese sauce.

“Lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014

Very good food at good price (approx 350k for a lot of food); quick and personal service - the waitress moved our table from the back of the line of tables to the front to allow us to see the sunset better which I thought was excellent touch; amazing views. The only negative (which is applicable to all restaurants there) is that it can become very smokey from the grills but if you ignore that, everything was low key but excellent.

“Hype caused by guide books - Taste is just average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

The Jimbaran Beach is recommened in all guide books for their seafood at the beack to watch the sunset. Every tourits guide will bring you here (and get his commision....)

I went here by myself with a local person (not tourist guide), we paid 360,000 for some big prawns, a grilled fish, vegetables, rice and a bottle of Bingtang. Saying this, it tasted average.

The atmosphere and environment is nice as you are sitting at on the beach in the sand.

Is it worth all this money? I am not sure... it is more likme You need to get this tick on Your ToDo List of Bali....

“Below average seafood”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

After reading many positive reviews, we decided to give Teba Mega Cafe a try. The service wasn't bad, and the price was also reasonable. However the food quality was subpar. It was nowhere close to Lia, which is our favorite restaurant 25 mins by foot north of Teba. To start, the clams were oily, which I didn't expect from grilled seafood. The jumbo shrimp wasn't as big nor fresh. It was difficult to peel the shell off the shrimp, which surprised us (we thought all shrimp was the same). The worst of all was the fish. They ran out of red snapper, so we got white snapper instead. The fish was very difficult to chew, and it almost had a rubbery texture. It was much smaller for 1kg of fish. We ordered the same at Lia cafe, and the fish came out much bigger. If we haven't had been to Lia, we probably would have accepted Teba as the norm. Now that we have been to both, Teba's food was like prepared by amateur cooks for one-time visitors. We will not come back again.

“Expect long wait.......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

Ate here not because of TA recommend ation but their seafood look much fresher compare to the rest when I visited the place.

I chose the set menu as I am not sure how they track those orders when there are 20 fishes on the grill lol.

I waited for 45mins to get my food and it was not during peak hours . So please go early and prepare for a long wait.

Service - expect none and you will be satisfied with what you received .

Lastly , the food is not too bad. Would had visit the place again if the wait is not that long.
