“Yummy seafood with good service and location, location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

Bayang cafe just on the beach near The Keraton Resort in Jimbaran is one of the better places we have had really good cafe style seafood, the table setting was really well set out and clean, with better seating /pretty candles and not to mention the seafood, we had shared meals, with drinks, good price and the food was yummy...better quality than we have had before in many of the seafood cafe's...we will return :)

“Great fresh seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

Like others we were recommended Jimbaran for seafood without any particular restaurant so we researched Tripadvisor carefully. We picked the Bayang Cafe as it seemed to have the best, most balanced reviews here. It was a good experience, we ordered a set menu to avoid bargaining over weight of the food and the waitress also agreed to exchange some items like taking out the squid satay and replace it with jumbo prawns instead of small prawns. The menu had a lobster, 8 jumbo prawns, krisi fish and clams, with rice, salad, some greens and potatoes. Lobster and prawns were excellent and the fish was nicely grilled, we were not big fans of the clams but the portions were sufficient for filling us completely and we even decided to skip the fruit platter at the end.
It is worth mentioning that all the restaurants in this area are next to each other at the beach and therefore there might be a little difference in ambiance and animals around, although we only saw a one dog and there were no flies or lizards or mosquitos (but may be because we went quite late at night, around 8:30 pm).
The staff was very helpful and ordered us a taxi after the meal which actually used a proper meter and charged us 60k IDR back to Nusa Dua.

“Tasty Seafood Barbecue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

We went here one night for a Seafood Barbecue.
The set menu with 2 beers , lobsters, shrimps, clams, crab & fish was simply to die for.
It came with rice, salads and dippings.
The view is nice and we ate like we have never eaten seafood.
The taste was like Indian Tandoori style so we loved it.

People in Jimbaran should keep the beach clean as in Thailand and it would be an even better experience.

“Nice romantic setting with nice food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

We actually found this restaurant from tripadvisor. My wife and I were here on our honeymoon and we got recommendations to go to Jimbaran for the seafood but no particular restaurant.
The location was definitely one of the nicest and most romantoc I have come across. Tables placed all over a clean sandy beach, each one facing the sea lit with candlelight. the sound of waves crashing the shore with the slight breeze and seafood made for a good romantic night.

The staff were very polite and eager to serve. The food was fresh and cooked well. It wasn't Michelin 3 star material but for IDR603, 900 my wife and I got a set meal with three half mini lobsters, 500gm of fish a handful of clams 9 prawns, 6 squid satay, a basket of rice, a plate of fries two beers and 3 glasses of juice(juice was freshly pressed and not from concentrate.)

You can actually get better quality seafood in many places but you would definitely be expected to pay a higher price. For the price and beautiful setting, 4 stars.

“Great food with nice sunset view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

We've been to 3 restaurants in Jimbaran Bay but this was the one we like the most.
We order a set with lobster, prawns, clams, squid and fish, served with steamed rice and vegetables. The vegetable was cold, so we can focus on the seafood first. All were great with their special sauces on it. In addition, you could choose to add chili and garlic sauces came with the food. The Balinese spice paste was great with the fish.
We would definitely go again if we go to Jimbaran.
