“A nice seafood sunset dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

This is my fifth time I have eaten at Lia Cafe over so many years. What brings me back here again and again is the knowledge consistently cooking and serving fantastic fresh seafood . I would recommend Lia for anyone who loves a good seafood night out with plenty of sambals to spice up the lovely grilled treasures set before you.

Pick out fresh snapper, prawns, crabs, lobsters and more and you pay by weight. It is expertly grilled and served with a clear soup, veggie salad, rice and water spinach greens. Desert is usually fresh cold pineapple and watermelon. Beer is nice and cold and the whole lot for 2 or 3 peeps will be under $50.00 AUD.

Lots of Tourists and Locals alike eat here... magic just before sunset..... get there around 530 and watch the sun go down over the ocean.

“Value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

We got dropped in Jimbarrin Bay a bit before dinner and after the reviews of TA insisted on our taxi driver dropping us here. We were a bit surprised when we got out of the taxi as we seemed in the middle if nowhere but decided to make a reservation and then have a walk around. The man who took our reservation smiled and agreed but never took a name or anything which instantly made my husband doubtful. We walked to the waters edge and slowly walked along the beach. The walk started out well with our two year old playing in the water and making friends with young local kids but the further we walked the smellier and dirtier it got. We decided to stop for a cocktail on the beach and were shocked by the price of drinks and food - over AUD10 for a cocktail seemed a little high in Bali. After a decent walk we returned to the area of Lias and much to our surprise the whole little strip was busy and lively Lias looked full and we were worried they may not have room for us now. When we approached the man we spoke to earlier greeted us with the best table in the house and a warm smile. Not being a seafood eater the menu for me wasn't huge but my husband loved his seafood platter. The prices were great with a 2 person platter 38AUD which included 2 beers. We were so happy with the service food and setting especially after looking at the more commercial establishments in jb. Oh but don't expect cocktails here but the rest more than makes up for it. The best spot to watch the sun set!!!

“Très bonne adresse pour du poisson grillé AU BORD de l'eau”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

This is a good place to eat when you're staying in Jimbaran. Grilled fish is very tasty and you can have it on the beach. Price is good, they don't try to charge you more on "whatever" and staff is nice.

“Nearly perfect seafood!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

We went there for lunch and had the set menu (2 lobsters, 2 crabs, 8 clams and 8 shrimps) at IDR350,000. The tastes of seafood were great! We had dropped by other restaurants nearby which charged like at least double of what we had in Lia (from IDR850,000 to IDR2,000,000). The only drawback was there are many small flies on the beach (not the cafe's problem). Not sure if it's better to sit inside the cafe?

If your driver said they don't know where Lia Cafe is and drop you to a restaurant that you don't know, insist that you would like to go Lia Cafe only, the Cafe is at the end of the road.

Highly recommend!

“Yummy food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

Went to Lia's cafe on 16 feb 2013. We were greeted with a smile. The service was spot on and the food was amazing. Very clean and fresh. My partner an I had 1.5 kg red snapper, 10 jumbo prawns and 300gr calamari. We had 3 btls of local rosé wine all for $110 (including tip). Great value for money. They also gave Us a free ride Back To our resort. The calamari was a bit chewy. Will def go back and highly recommend it.
