“Such good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

Very delicious food, only downside was the limited vegetarian options. Otherwise it was everything you could want from a meal in Bali, cheap filling and very tasty

“Cheap & cheerful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Tasty local food at very reasonable prices, with the proceeds going towards a great cause. Just be aware that the service can be a little slow, so factor that in if you need to be elsewhere by a particular time. (Our guide-book gave a 6pm closing time, but it's actually open till 10pm.)

“Good food, supports a good cause”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

Sjaki's warung overlooks the football field on Monkey Forest Road. I had dinner here and could also hear the gamelan music from the hall nearby (where they do dance performances in the evenings), which was a bonus. The meal was tasty and reasonably priced.

Sjaki's warung supports a foundation for children with special needs / learning disabilities. The funds go towards providing education and services for these kids. The restaurant is actually at the front of their school building. The staff are quite friendly and can provide a tour of their facilities on request. The warung also provides vocational training for some of their young students (cleaning, washing up, etc.) but I was told that they aren't involved in the cooking yet.

“Eating that helps the locals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

Sjaki's warung helps support a school for local mentally disabled kids. They have improved the menu from just snacks, no roof two years ago. Now they have a roof and an expanded menu. Best nasi campur and great iced fruit drinks. The western meals are a bit more expensive but good. It's at the bottom of the football field. If you go in the evening you can hear the gamelan music from the performance centre. They deserve to be busier.
