“Silent & Peace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

If you tired with the stressed? This place will make you refresh.. Silent, quite and refreshing. At night you're only hear bugs, owl & gecko. No noisy sound, forget the TV, and enjoy the sound of nature. Thanks for Mr. Wayan, whos helping us for three enjoyable days. We would came again when we go to bali.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We stayed at Sanggingan Villa in August 2013 and extended our stay we were so impressed. Wayam's service was exceptional - we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, The hotel is not new but has a feel of faded glamour. The bathroom was a bit tired-looking. The pool is lovely and breakfasting on our own private verandah looking out to the green surroundings was magical. It is a 20-30 min walk to the centre of Ubud but taxis are inexpensive and there are some great eating options within 5 minutes walk. If we visit Ubud again I will stay at Sanggingan Villas,

Room Tip: Downstairs rooms have own verandahs which you can have your breakfast on/coffee anytime

We stayed here for four nights during our trip arround Bali. We were here begining of April, so off season, therefore we were the only guests. This was perfect for us - we had a pool to ourselfes and the full attention from the staff.

The hotel is decorated as an old temple, covered with moss, full of exotic plants and flowers, home to huge butterflyes.

We had a lovely prepared breakfast every morning on our terrace as well free coffee during the day.

We rent a scooter for 45000IDR a day so we could drive downtown anytime in about 15 min.

In the lobby area there was a free WiFi access.

We absolutely loved this place and would recommend to everyone who does not mind to stay away from the touristic centre and to look for some peace and quite.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011

I stayed one night here. It was about 3km from town or a 30 minute walk. If you plan on watching one of the shows in Ubud, most start at 7:30pm, then you really need to get a ride home. The footpath is unlit and would be too tricky at night. The room here was fine. It had a fridge and a very good fan. It was a decent size too. The pool is dirty looking. I did go for a swim once and don't know the reason for the waters lack of clarity. I don't want to dwell too much on that. Breakfast is good and served outside your room. I chose this place for wifi and pool but the wifi wasn't working. The staff are all very friendly which adds to the feel of a place.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are more expensive as they have a view.. of what? Stick to downstairs room.s
