The Nabha Palace is a classic example of the stringent standards of the Oberoi chain of hotels. It combines comfort with class, and is a beautifully laid out property in the Uttrakhand hills. A long winding detour from the Dehradun-Mussoorie highway takes you deep into the woods and the Nabha Palace is tucked away within these woods.

The original property of the royal family of Nabha, Punjab- the hotel is like a home away from home. Excellently managed by the GM- Mr. Chugh, the resort provides excellent cuisine with buffet dinner laid out in the dining hall and served piping hot by the excellent staff. The benches in the terraced garben provide the ideal vantage point for a leisurely drink, with a breathtaking view of the mighty Himalayas. The blinking lights of Mussoorie town stparkle like a million stars after dusk..and the whole aura and ambience of the place has to be experienced to be believed.

I strongly recommend a visit here.

We visited this property last week.
First impressions were good - quiet, green and away from the noisy town and tucked away in the midst of a pine forest.
The rooms are recently refurbished with excellent amenities. Though on first impressions, I did feel that the housekeeping department could do a better job.
Food was good. The staff was courteous and took pains to ensure that we served food based on our liking and dietary preferences. I would rate the staff very highly on this parameter.
The property itself is a colonial British bungalow, which was bought by the royal family of Nabha and now converted into a hotel. The management has done a decent job in maintaining the old world charm of the place, which is quite evident in the lobby, the bar and the restaurant.
While the property rates highly on almost all counts, I did feel that the tariff was a bit high.
Overall, a great place!

It was a Reverberant, Vivacious, Heart Throbbing trip. I liked the beauty of Mussoorie in winters. It was initial days of winters and was very chilly, but no snowfall at my visit to the place and the hotel. I liked the beauty of hills that was spell bound & I admire my heart's out. Jai Hind...

I visited the Claridges Nabha Residence with my family on 24 march. We had made our booking online through the travel site Antilog Vacations after getting to know abt their good services. They had good rates & trip was planned to every minute detail and literally we ended up having a gala time .

It is a very scenic resort located on the Airfield Barlowganj Road amidst greenery all around. It is nicely secluded from the commotion prevalent in the heart of the city. There is a thick forest outlining the resort and it gives a very niche look to the hotel. The rooms are quite lavish and spacious at around 60 square yards and are bordered with French windows, with a picturesque view through them.

The door also opens into a lawn and you are in for a special treat if you are a nature lover. The bathroom though had narrow doors though and I shuddered to think what would have happened had I brought older people as the ywould have found it highly impossible. There was wi-fi connection available in the rooms but the speed was pathetic and they should look for better options to increase the bandwidth.

The food was light but with many choices. The breakfast in particular was of princely proportions and we ended up having a very light lunch because the heavy breakfast we had almost all the days.

However I really missed a swimming pool for as we would have loved the same. All in all I would say that the Claridges is a niche hotel situated in a beautiful location but it is slightly over priced compared to the facilities it provides. Hence it a 50-50 pick if u want to visit there.

Enrolling via an agent is a good option as they arrange for everything at cheap rates so that you don’t have to worry.We really had a superb time here
