“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Stayed in the hotel in early January and Mussoorie was freezing cold. My experience of the booking the hotel was very good. I called the hotel and Mr Ravi explained to me the rooms and packages available and helped me choose rooms with great view. He also clearly told me that its really cold and we would need to be packed accordingly which I really appreciate.
The rooms were nice with awesome views. They had complimentary pick up and drop to Mall road which we used quite often as our car and driver were not used to the hilly terrain. Whenever we needed the car it was ready in a few minutes.
The food was amazing and their service equally great. I was traveling with my parents and was worried that they might not enjoy the trip due to the cold but I believe the hotel has taken enough measures to ensure the guests are warm and comfortable.

Would definitely stay again if I get a chance to visit Mussoorie again.

Room Tip: Rooms on 1st floor have great views.

Went to Mussoorie recently ( 22nd Dec. to be exact ) on a short trip. Since we were visitng after 2 years , as always looked up Trip advisor ratings and as this hotel had no. 1 ranking , made the prior reservation on line. Situated very close to Company Gardens , the location is great , away from the busy mall and offered great views . However , the hotel turned out to disappointing in other ways. The common areas icluding the restaurant were very cold , no arrangements for heating . Fireplaces were in place but no provisons for lighting it. Bathrooms were chilling cold ! The interiors of the rooms are not preoperly planned .The whole place was quite dead in the evening and we were happy to check out of the hotel next morning at the earliest. Food though was very good and no complaints on this aspect ! Personally I will not rate it as no. 1 or even close to it . highly overpriced for the facilites it offered . We have stayed several times before at Claridges Nabha and think that's a much better place to stay . Very tempted to stay at Rokeby Manor in Landaur ( which we visited for lunch ) in our next trip and appeared to be a fabulous place to stay !

Room Tip: Rooms in the new block are very disappointing and should book for heritage rooms only !

Excellent property, I stayed here for 4 days with my family and had a fantastic vacation. The estate is located amid the peaceful surrounding on the hathi paon road overlooking the valley with snow-capped mountains forming a beautiful background, and that too just 10 minutes’ drive from the rush of the mall road. The resort provides pick and drop to the mall road, you place a request and just in minutes you are back in the business hovering and shopping on the mall. Company garden is just 5 minutes’ walk from the property and again is an excellent picnic spot specially to enjoy sun bath in winters.

The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities. The rooms in the new wing have individual balconies and the ones on the first floor have very good views, whereas the rooms in the old wing have a common balcony with an excellent view. The deck has great views and a good option to unwind on a pleasant day. I did missed binoculars while on the deck, as wanted to see enhanced view of the snow-capped mountains (Yamunotri peaks as told by the staff at the estate).

Staff at the estate is courteous and offers an excellent service. Food is yummy be it Indian or Continental , though the breakfast menu specially for vegetarians has got limited options but you can tell them whatever you wish to eat and that would be made and surely you would relish it . The only thing not operational during the winter off-season was spa but steam bath was available to detoxify oneself.
In addition to the different activities offered, the estate has plenty of open space around to enjoy the nature and charge you with plenty of oxygen and freshness to last till your next trip to the mighty Himalayas.

Thanks to Mr Rakesh and the team for providing a perfect holiday that we were looking for

we stayed at amber vermont for 2 days and every moment was worth it. location and facility are superb and mesmerise you from the very moment you enter the premise of the hotel. its location is kind of off-route and quite difficult to spot initially but we found this hotel a perfect place to relax.

many thanks to mr. rakesh and his team for their warm welcome and hospitality.

rooms are cosy and adequately furnished, the balcony provides a good view of the valley, fantastic wooden work (and maintained that ways) give you that perfect personnel space. the food menu, of whatever we ordered came out as good. room service is nice and swift. only drawback we found was that of the sun deck, over which you would get sunshine for only a little time during the day but the view of valley from there would cover up for the rest. Excellent stay.

Chose Vermont based on top billings given by tripadvisor. Happy I did so. Vermont scores excellent on location, service and food. Nothing to complain about at all. Highly recommended! Just one suggestion, they can do well to make rooms centrally heated, like those aborad, instead of placing heater machines. This however is a minor issue.

I stayed at the resort with my family for three nights and I must say it was all that was promised . The room had world class amenities, food was excellent both Indian or Continental . Most importantly the staff was ever smiling while attending to small details. Great Sun Deck and excellent view . Will definitely be staying here whenever in Mussoorie . Really a place to stay with your family or a group .
