“Resort is not five star or four star”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago NEW

The name was made five star but very low standards for a five star property. Right from Check-in it was a mess. Rooms are not clean and neat. I have booked this resort from online but the services are very Ok and i have seen rooms but every rooms has some problems. Overall the resort is just Ok and not any luxury in the resort.

Unsafe location, Poor infrastructure, inactive staff, worned out air conditioners, lack of facilities and UNREASONABLE PRICES.
Better stay in Mathura where much better hotels at cheaper rates are available

Room Tip: Just check the infrastructure and facilities in the room. If you found that good, then go ahead with...

Worst resort I have ever visited and not at all expected from a brand like Country Inn. Big flop in almost in every aspect. Neither the room was good enough, nor the service. And the food quality was like restaurants in Paharganj. The swimming was not up to the mark...

Location and Access:

This is an excellent option for travelers, who wish to take a short break from their fast life in NCR and take some rest. Located on the right side of Delhi Agra Highway (NH2) at a distance of about 100 km, this property can be easily approached by road in about 2 hrs from the Delhi border. Prominently visible from the highway, yet, it is situated in a very calm and quite locality. An old steam locomotive welcomes you when you enter the compound, bringing a smile on the face of old timers due to nostalgic memories. Also, it is only 2km from the Kosi kalan railway station in the Delhi Agra line and many trains stop here.

Activities:

For those who wish to spend a leisurely day and evening here, the hotel has ample opportunities. The facilities include a gym, a swimming pool, badminton courts, basket ball nets, TT table, caroms, etc. One can walk peacefully in the large lawns also. The hotel is suitable for group activities and day picnics also. But it is not the place if you want a Mall like, crowded atmosphere.

Kosi is about 35 km Short of Vrindavan in NH2. For those of the religious kind, visiting Vrindavan and Mathura (another 10 km) from here is a good option for combining spirituality with leisure. Govardhan, Barsana, Nandgaon are all nearby, but the road to these places is not good. At Vrindavan the Vrindravan- Chandra mandir, Prem Mandir, ISKON Mandir, Banki Bihari temple are must sees and so is Krishnan Janmasthan temple in Mathura.

If one wants to optimize time, he can plan the trip as I did. ie, Start from Delhi by about 9 in the morning, Check in at the hotel by 12 noon, have a sumptuous lunch either in the restaurant or in the room, take some rest and start for Vrindavan in the evening by 4. It takes about 45 min. Visit the major temples and come back to hotel for a late evening tea.

Next day after a leisurely breakfast, check out and head for Mathura, which is about an hour drive. If you wish to visit the Krishnan Jamasthan temple be sure to do it before 12 noon as it closes; it may be the case with other temples also. After the visits one can have lunch at any of the numerous outlets in the city, from CCD, Pizza hut, McD to Sree Ratnam and Sagar Ratna.

For returning to Delhi, I chose the Yamuna Expressway, which is about 15 km from Mathura (8 km from Vrindavan). After entering the Mathura entry point of the Expressway, one can reach Noida in about an hour and a half.

Overhaul Experience:

The stay was very nice. Though the old block is under renovation, it didn't disturb us much. Food and service were good and so was the ambiance. The staff is very cordial and receptive but one has to be patient as answering telephones may not be prompt. overhaul, the place is good for relaxing. Winter months will be especially good.

Room Tip: Take a room in the first floor looking towards the highway, for better views. Superior room is very...

I have been to various 5-star resorts and hotels and I understand that according to the budget, this resort is not more than a 4-star, if not a 3-star. But I was astonished upon reaching the property. The staff is the rudest that can be. The amenities are pretty bad and you'll find non-functional air conditioners and electricity all the time. The situation is so bad that at the time of the 'lavish buffet dinner', the electricity went out and everyone was left stranded with their plates for atleast a good 2 hours. Upon Enquiry, the staff seemed surprisingly rude and not at all welcoming. Thankfully, my stay lasted just one day but even if you decide to stay here for an hour, please reconsider it.

we booked a room with breakfast and dinner plan on 6th sept 2014.
On reaching the venue.

the staff really was courteous and helpful .

But the downside was :
the amenities mentioned on the site were not as shown .
Pool was dirty .
Games room non functional.
nothing you can do inside the hotel apart from lazing around in the room.

rooms are clean but average
No lift for old or disabled people .
Anybody thinking about a great weekend could give it a miss

Located away from the hustle bustle of Delhi and Mathura..Country inn is an average hotel on the National highway 2..
-The rooms are good..not that spacious though..
-The food is expensive..and not that tasty..liqueur is expensive too..

-I have read other reviews mentioning about the staff being helpful , somehow this wasn't the case with me..staff us untrained and don't really know how to greet and treat guests..

-The lighting in the rooms is a bit odd..it is yellow but not what we see in all the hotel's , home. .may be they're using some odd bulbs with some bad shades..

Over all I wasn't very happy with the experience and surely will not visit again..

P.S
Can be a good pitstop if you're driving from a long distance and still have a lot to cover. .!!

Keep travelling. .
