“Way to salvation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2012

Spiritualism at its peak. The serenity of "jambhumi" and the associated temples cannot be described in words. The place gives a feeling of positiveness.

We reached Janmbhumi after Vrindavan. Parking is at some distance from the temple complex. But one can easily walk up to there. Electronic gadgets were not allowed, locker facility is available to take care of your valuables. After crossing the multi level frisking process you enter the the main compound of the temple. Shoes are not allowed inside the main temple complex. Shoe rack facility is available inside the campus.

We staright away went for the darshan of "Janm sthan". After that we went for the main temple complex. From here, one can also have a clear view of the mosque built inside the same campus. The main temple complex is full of beautiful paintings and sound of soothing enchanting bhajans. Just an hour stay there was enough to take away all the tiring effects our Journey to Mathura. We concluded that evening with some of the finest delicacies made of milk. Peda is as speciality of this place.

Next morning we woke up early and directly headed for the banks of river Yamuna to join the morning arti. But the most refreshing part was the boat ride in Yamuna. Definately, I'll like to pay a visit to this place very soon.

“Truly spiritual”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2012

The temple is beautiful and full with spiritualism. There are no restrictions on visitors, you can just roam around sit pray as you want sing bhajans or dance while others sing. We visited during the festival of Holi and the atmosphere was even more mesmerising. The whole temple was full of colors and colorful people, no wonder Shree Krishna was born here.

“Holy place overwhelmed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

Its the birth place of Lord krishna and absolutely well maintained.. The temple is marvelous. Please make sure of the temple timings before you visit. This temple is open till 12 in the after noon and reopens at 4.30 pm. Do not encourage talking to locals out there. Do not do any special pooja or archana just because people over there tell you. Worship the way you want and seek the blessings of god. No cameras or mobile phones allowed. The car parking is a bit far from the temple. There is a brijwasi sweet shop right outside the temple where you can get fresh pedas (believed to be favorite of Lord Krishna). Please put your donations to the temple only in the Hundi box. Beware of false local guides roaming about here and there. We were looted. So you dont.
