“Get a room on the 'quiet' side...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

Hotel is right opposite train station so make sure you get a room that doesn't face onto the road / station otherwise you won't get any sleep.
Our room overlooked a side street and was quiet.
Getting hot (as in lukewarm) water is a bit of a lottery but you will get cleaned up if you try enough times and work out when you're likely to get it - lunchtime seemed the best...
We were warned about laundry getting lost but we had no choice so were pleased when it all came back. Others in our group weren't so fortunate.
Restaurant OK foodwise but service was slow, waiting people got the orders and the bills wrong.
Not a bad hotel but nothing to write home about.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms overlooking the station and the main road.

Very nice business hotel. service, rooms all good. Location is very good and also very bad. Good because of being centrally located and bad because you cant sleep at night because of the outside noise of the buses and trains hooting all night long.

Clean hotel with decent food. But every time I ordered something from the restaurant it took absolutely ages to receive it and they always got my order wrong. I ate there for four meals (was sick so stayed in hotel) and couldn't eat one of my meals as it was covered in cream and I am lactose intolerant. Situated across from railway station, very noisy all night. Cannot make international calls from hotel...even though it has other conveniences and a travel desk. Good laundry service and rooms have a/c and access to a couple of English tv channels. But couldn't have a hot (or even warm) shower during my stay.

The hotel is still under construction as it looks from its parking lot. But the rooms are good. The location is also fine as it is opposite to the railway station. Food is OK. I stayed there for 1 night and found it comfortable.

Located on an extremely crowded and noisy street across from the train station, you'll get very little sleep from the incessant honking all night long. The hotel itself needs an upgrade: everything is worn, chipped or in just enough disrepair to be annoying. What little hot water exists dribbles from the tap towels are gray and slightly damp. The restaurant just manages to be okay. I wouldn't call this a "must avoid" hotel by any means, but I think you can do better. This was the weakest of the dozen or so hotels I stayed at while in India

Went with wife and both sets of our parents for two nights. It was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime for our parents who are in their early 70s (Indian origin).

Rooms were very basic and hot with no proper AC. We had to switch rooms several times with no luck.

The biggest issue was that this is a working building site with unprotected work taking place at the front of the hotel with men smashing up rocks on the roof which fall into persons entering the hotel. This hotel has no comprehension of Health and Safety nor the safety of their guests.

Along with the 24/7 generator running all the time and the drilling and banging none of us got any sleep for the entire stay. When we complained several times to staff and management they told us they had no other rooms and we should use ear plugs!

We paid higher rates to the hotel for a driver and car for peace of mind to visit the ghats for sunrise and were introduced to a very dishonest driver and 'guide' who demanded 4000 rupees for a boat trip which usually costs about 300 rupees.

When we complained to the hotel they claimed this was the usual rate when clearly it is not.

The hotel, staff and their travel desk are a very dishonest set of people who only care about ripping off their guests without suffering any consequences to themselves.

This was a bug shame as this hotel and its arrogant manager ruined the trip for all 6 of us.

We left tired, angry and dissapointed with the way we were treated.

This hotel, should not be open to the public! Rooms are only complete on three floors and there is construction all around the building with pieces of concrete and brick flying at you as you enter. Rooms are dark, and musty, furniture and bathroom is too basic for a new hotel, hot water is not guaranteed, the towels and sheets look 20yrs old.

The hotel is set amongst old, derelict buildings. There is noise everywhere, in the front you hear the cars, ricks, buses, horns and trains all night long, no sound proofing, you might as well be sleeping outside. The location is not good at all, the train station makes this a transient, dirty, busy area with lots of pollution and nothing within walking distance.

The staff (of which there seem to be many) are not empowered to do any thing. They stare at you blankly, shake their head in agreement and do absolutely nothing, except when they want money and then they have no shame to ask you to pay for false charges. For six people they sent a car for three to the airport. We had to switch rooms three times. Be weary of the travel desk; the man will smile sweetly, maybe try to convince you he is a brahmin then charge exorbitant rates for everything. The restaurant is average, bit slow. Overall this hotel should be closed down until it is complete and the staff are given lots of customer training.
