“Cheap and easy but no thrills!”

Really you stay here for the location; it is really close to the Taj and walking distance from the fort. We got up early to see the sunrise at the Taj and we could walk there in the dark safely in 5 minutes as there is lots of security on the streets too. It is quiet as no major traffic is allowed down the road outside it. Other than that the stay is basic at best. There is only a base sheet on the beds, no additional coverings and while clean the sheets and pillows did have small holes stains on them. We had opted for a non-AC room as we are used to the heat of India and we managed ok. The rooms have little windows which you can open but there were plenty of mosquitoes around, so repellent is advisable. Despite its location, the rooftop was closed (clearly not open at all as the stairways were locked/ blocked) so we couldn't see the Taj from the hotel. The food was simple and nice but we found just as cheap and better quality food elsewhere. The front desk staff did there job and offered us good advise for day trips but didn't go out of their way.

The location can't be faulted within a stones throw from the West Gate of the Taj. However the hotel itself was somewhat of a let down. The air cooler didn't work, very minimal bedding (we had to use the sheet from a spare bed as a cover) which had holes in it. Fine if the room cost 400/500 rupees not the 950 it was charged at.

The room was dirty with rat droppings on the floor and grease stains on the sheets, the staff were unfriendly and unwilling to open the roof terrace which seemed to be always shut and the tv wouldnt even turn on. If i'd been paying 300/400rs this would be fine but the fact they charge 800 rs in low season is a joke. Find a better place to stay.

If you are looking for hostel near Taj Mahal - it is perfect choice. On the other hand there were no mosquito net, take yours. Lots of noise by the night and in the early morning, when prayers start to pray. In the nearest area lots of places to eat local specialities. Terrace view of Taj is closed. You have to ask someone from staff to open it and see Taj for a few minutes. There are some monkeys, but they are not agressive.

Fantastic location!, 1min walk to the west gate of the taj. The restaurant inside has a very reasonable priced menu. Our fan room had hot water showers which was great. The roof top was locked so you cant go up there.

I can't find enough kind words of this amazingly friendly owner, who did EVERYTHING for his guests. He made several calls to help to re-organize my bus ticket and the at the check-out day, he offered me a chance to take a shower and freshen up before my night bus. So very kind! The rooms were nice and clean, only negative side was mosquitos, I don't understand how they got in to rooms. Location was just 3 minutes from west gate of Taj Mahal.

Stayed in this hotel for one night with kid and parents. had booked a delux room . Dirty bathroom. Room Full of mosquitoes. No hot water available. ( need to carry hot water from ground floor if required , that too it wont be available early morning, ppl with kid might find this difficult). Our private taxi was not allowed near hotel because of its close proximity to Taj Mahal which is a pollution free area. So if u are reaching late night , with ur own taxi , its uncomfortable for driver to park the vehicle as hotel doesn't provide any alternate parking arrangement. Also you would need to carry the luggage. The hotel is near to Taj West gate ( 2 min walk) , and has a small restaurant as well ( food is ok).
