4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

Ideal location, good rooms though little small in size but with quality interior. Good bathroom with quality fitments. management is cooperative.Nice breakfast and awesome tasty food. Will definitely look to stay in again on a next trip.

Room Tip: Good place to stay in. management and staffs were co-operative. Had a nice experience all together.

There is no window in the room, there was smell of suffocation and the hotel was find to hard though on very well connected location.

Car parking was big pain, as there is no dedicated space for car parking and lot of bikes parked around my car gave me fear of scratches coming over it.

Though the toilets have running hot water, but it took 3 calls to reception before hot water came in.

Room Tip: I never expected to get a deluxe room without windows in it and suffocation, do check about the same...

Windowless room, yet quiet. Redecoration required. Restaurant good. Need to deal with wandering rodent around breakfast tables. Let your driver negotiate a rate better than that advertised.

Agra is a great city to visit, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort will be remembered ever after. However, the hotels in the category of the Taj Inn are very poor. The hotel itself fits in the category of low quality, smelly rooms without windows. In respect of service, we have been rushed away from an anyways rather mediocre breakfast buffet (the coffee does not deserve its name) and the three persons' room we had booked was a regular two person room without even space for an extra bed. In front of the hotel the air pollution is incredible and as a tourist you cannot even walk one minute without being bothered by people that want to pull you into their tuk tuk, rikscha to send you to one of the handicraft stores to cash in their provisions.

THEREFORE, visit the places and enjoy the night somewhere else!

Room Tip: Go to another city but Agra

It is my honest opinion please do not stay in this hotel, because they don't give damn to customer service. They are very fast to charge you even for a bucket of ice and whisky glasses.

We ordered bucket of ice and few glasses, they have a room service no 508 no body picks it up. I went to front desk and it took them 1 hour 40 minutes to bring two glasses and bucket of ice, but they brought the bill for ice with five minutes.

Its horrible to see how they treat their customer, I think the owner is not there and these guys
who are managing this hotel have no education or customer service.

Please stay away if you want to enjoy your holidays in Agra.

Room Tip: Shower water flows all over the bathroom they have no idea, shower pressure is so bad that it flows...

Pros
Well located. About a 15 minute walk from the West Gate of the Taj Mahal. We also wandered along the busy street outside and found some great stores and a delicious place for sweets.
Room was small, but clean.
Free wifi. And it worked!
Shower had decent pressure and was hot.
Breakfast was included and was a little above par with eggs, toast, tea, and a small variety of indian food.

Cons
Our room was on the first floor. Because of this we: (1) had no windows which was painfully disorienting, (2) heard all of the chatter in the reception area, and (3) smelled the cigarette smoke from reception.
The room is small and lacked anything charming. The entire hotel is rather forgettable, in general.

Would I recommend it? I guess, but not with much enthusiasm.

Don't trust this hotel's web deals, web pricing or website photos at all. We did and when we arrived they rejected the printed receipt we had and bumped up the price 50%. The rooms were also microscopic for a room claiming to accommodate 3 people. And it wasn't just us complaining, it was everyone who walked in the door. This hotel has so much potential but is run by very unscrupulous operators. Spend your money elsewhere.
