“Felt Proud”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Thread Museum: Bang opposite the Boat Club, once you climb the 10-15 stairs, and after purchasing the tickets, you enter in a different world. Everything colourful you see there is made of thread. You would take them for real if no one tells you otherwise. Do not miss the grass on the floor. The guide there was very patient and explained and answered all our questions. Obtain the ticket for the camera as you would use the same. You feel proud of such a creation. They sell souvenirs, starting from Rs. 600 onwards. I was happy to buy two pieces of middle size. Do not miss it, while in Ooty.

First and the foremost
1. All the thread work are done by handicap people.
2.Every flowers and leaves look natural.
3. Quantity is very less but you can see variety of flowers.
4. Its a thread flower. Looks evergreen.
5. Samples are sold which are very costly

“Pretty Unique stuff...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

You wont really realize what you will run into till you pay your Rs 20 entry fees and actually go into the Thread Garden on the banks of the lake..... Its beautiful and pretty creative. Folks using various hues of threads to model a myriad range of plans and flowers to near life like perfection .... One visit is surely worth it.
