“Nice place for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

If you have kids who like parks, they will love this place. You can also go boating in the park's lake.

“Better than Ooty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

We much preferred Sims Park to Ooty' botanical gardens. The layout was far more appealing to us than Ooty and the structure of the park just has something about it. Perhaps it's the variation of the lines of he hills and the trees. Just something about it had more interest for us. Anyway, well worth a rip if you are in Coonoor.

“Not Great with reference to Botanical Gardens”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Sim’s Park is loaded with rare species of trees, plants and flowers of all varieties.
There is a small pond where you can rent peddle boats.
The kid’s park is in deplorable condition and needs maintenance.
Overall the Park needs care and maintenance for our future generation to witness.
If you have visited Botanical Gardens in Ooty you can give it a miss.

“Enjoy Sim's Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Another wonderful park alike the Botanical Garden and a must visit for everyone. The park is on an inclined area consisting of a rectangular lush green park, children’s playing area and a pond at the base. The park also has many years’ old trees, herbs, shrubs, flowers, water body, glass house, creepers and many other varieties of plants. We also spotted a Rudraksha (Beads) tree. The pond had plenty of small and large fishes drawing much attention of children of all age and size. At the base of the incline by the park side, there is a message carved out by the alphabetical sizing of the shrubs – “Enjoy Sim’s Park” whose formation looks so good to the eyes. The glass house too is quite rich in terms of its collection of plants inside. Our kids too had their share of fun gazing fishes in the pond. They immensely enjoyed the seesaw, swings and the playground slide. They were so immersed in their play that we had to forcibly pull them out so that we could move to the next destination.

“Nice Place to Relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

Its impressive when you think that the entire park over 18 acres was the brainchild and efforts of one man who brought hundreds of trees from scores of countries, took them all the way up the Nilgiris and made such a beautiful park. It is quite well maintained and the Lake at the bottom of the park is an ideal place to relax adjoining a small playground for kids (some a little too old). The lake actually has a lot of fish, drop a few breadcrumbs or corn and see the pond come alive. Get ready to leave well before closing time, the walk all the way upto the gate can be quite tiring.
Nice place to relax. We actually went back the next day.
