“Five star service in a high quality hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

My wife and I were delighted to have such a wonderful experience at the Jaiwana Havelli after a somewhat nightmarish experience at Raas Leela Luxury Camp the night before. Jaiwana was half the price and superior service with a staff that genuinely cares about your well being. The room quality was good and it was very clean. Free and fast wifi was available.. and they gave us the password without promoting when we checked in and the fellow who checked us patiently provided answers to a number of questions... even finding a hair dryer for my wife to borrow.

They way a terrific roof deck with a great view of the Lake and the surrounding ultra high end well-lit hotels resorts around it. The food is very good and certainly exceeded my expectations for the rooftop restaurant at a non-5 star hotel.

Since we were leaving early the next day, I mentioned that we would be leaving very early and needed to resolve all issues that evening which we did.. . he then took the initiative to prepare a free bagged breakfast so we had something to eat since we were missing our included breakfast.

If you are looking for a very clean and reasonably priced hotel with all the basic western amenities (wi-fi, a/c, heat, private bathroom, quiet room), a delightful staff and a great restaurant I strongly recommend this place!

I found their double rooms to be slightly on the pricey side, but their single rooms were a steal. I traveled with 2 other ladies. We were skeptical about staying in the single rooms because they didn't have A/C and were so inexpensive. In fact, they exceeded out expectations by a mile. We had to each sleep on a different floor, because I think there is only one per floor, but it wasn't really an inconvenience. Even though there is no A/C, the windows open and there is a ceiling fan. The twin bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and very clean. The roof top restaurant has an incredible view, decent food, and great service. You can't beat the location, everything is within walking distance. To be honest, the power did go out a few times while we were there, but it wasn't out for very long. The staff is very accommodating and they have free wifi. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms 15, 25, 35 are single rooms with twin beds and are an excellent value.

As all others have mentioned, it is a very simple, clean and nice hotel with a killer location. Stayed here during my recent visit to Udaipur in December 2012.
If you are a tourist and looking for a no frills, however hygenic option close to quite a few tourist attractions look no further. The views of Lake Pichola from the hotel are amazing. The Palace, Temple, Boat ride are within walking distance.
The rooftop restaurant gives great views in the mornings, evenings and night. The service of the hotel staff is also exemplary. If you are travelling with elders avoid this as climbing the stairs can be very painful. Also due the narrow steep roads in the adjacent area, manuvouring a large vehicle would be quite a task. If you are travelling with a driver or are comfortable with autorickshaw then no issues. However the co-operative traffice makes the painful drive to the hotel also a nice experience. There are lots of shops closeby if you want to do your holiday purchase, The free Wifi is an added advantage. Some rooms are smaller in size, so if you are planning to stay for a longer duration may be try out other options. All in all a great option, however should not be the number 5 option in Tripadvisor.

Room Tip: Not recommended if travelling with senior citizens.

Loved staying here. Room had partial lake view and a cozy pillow-filled sitting area. Hot water was sparse, stairs to roof top restaurant could be a problem for some. Staff were very helpful, arranged airport pick up (a bit more expensive than haggling on your own, but worth it). My sleep quality comment is based on street noise from tuktuks late in evening.

Room Tip: ask for lake view if possible.

Fantastic service and the rooms where clean and the shower HOT. The views for breakfast and sunset drinks on the rooftop are fantastic.

If it looks like it is booked out email the hotel directly as they sometimes have free rooms. Also the staff and owners are great. We had to get some medication to cure bad delhi belly but the pharmacy was closed. The owner called him and got him to run it down to the hotel for us...

Room Tip: The room underneath the kitchen can be a little noisey.

stayed at jaiwana haveli for 2 nights, dec. 14th, 2012. the rooms were spacious and clean and had great views. washrooms were large, clean and had good showers. check in was quick, staff were professional and friendly and very helpful. location was awesome (near the city palace) and the terrace was spectacular. the terrace restaurant had great food at very reasonable prices and the views of the city/lake/mountains was stunning! the price for our stay was excellent and well worth it. the owner yash was great and really took good care of us!

i would return in a heartbeat! A1 in all respects!

Room Tip: corner rooms on high floor are great
