“A budget hotel only”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Service was ok, there were as few as three employees in the hotel. Rooms are spacious but very basic in amenities. Room was not cleaned in our two day's stay. Breakfast is not recommendable at all. Location is far from main streets.

Loved the hotel and its roof top restaurant was the best. A friendly atmosphere made the stay more fun. Enjoyed having hukkah in the chilling wind there. Also, the nite view from the top seemed awesome. Also got few favors from CP and Addy. They got us bus tickets booked for the return journey and that was so nice of them. Thanks to them and I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Its just a walk away from the main market and city palace.

the trip to this hotel starts with arguments with your cab driver as he doesn't and can't reach this hotel located in narrow lanes of Udaipur ! No hot water, no free breakfast, messy kitchen, no A/C or heating in room, noisey mosque and temple prayers on loudspeaker from 5.30 am in morning add to chaos that hotel is in. There are better locations and better hotels to stay in Udaipur than this inconvenient hotel. The view from top terrace is though good and actually terrace is much better place here than your dingy room. Cleaning of toilets is ok , not very good, sheets also need change.

Room Tip: No good room here, only terrace is GOOD !

Beautiful building, clean, relaxing and the home made paneer dishes were really tasty. The lounge area with day beds was a particularly welcome oasis, as was the roof terrace. Although I'd love to go back one day and see the roof space kitted out with a tandoor or BBQ, comfy chairs and a bar...

This is a place with character and great service! It is located in the heart of the city close to everything. My room was very spacious and had very pretty wall decoration. Hot water worked perfectly (not everywhere does!). The roof restaurant was perfect to chichat with other people while enjoying a lovely dinner and an amazing view of the city. It was a lovely stay, thank you Little Prince!

Sadly the worst hotel we stayed in during our 26 night stay in India. Uncomfortable beds with rock hard pillows. No bed sheets provided just an unclean blanket which we reluctantly used because the room was freezing (we stayed at the beginning of January). Only one towel provided which did not look very clean. If the price was cheaper then it would have been ok but for 3000 INR it was expensive for how basic it was. We stayed in much nicer accommodation for 400 rupees less per night in other parts of Rajhastan. Lack of service was apparent, an example is we arranged an airport transfer on our last day. It was early morning, 5am and when we checked out, we were told to walk 5 minutes down the road and then wait?! Luckily we went back to ask the guy to show us because the taxi was not there and it took 20 minutes and several phone calls to the driver 'via' a friend to get the taxi to show up.

This place is a real treat, amazing value for money and the rooms are delightful. All of the rooms are different, with hand painted features and decoration throughout. The water is hot, the food is decent and the staff here are lovely. There is a nice roof terrace with great views out over the lake which is a great place to just relax and enjoy looking out over the city and the lake...
