Description: This restaurant started one year ago and the owners spent years studying the relationship between food, taste, health & the environment. They re-created vegetarian recipes by using alternative grains/millets such as Amaranth, Ragi, etc that are gluten-free & highly nutritious, and made tasty cookies, shakes & desserts that are also vegan. Their delicious salads are washed with filtered water and Indian tacos / chapatti pizzas are quick, tasty snacks. They also offer a full Indian food menu that is organic & tastes incredible. Their juices are made with really fresh vegetables & fruits. The restaurant is situated near the lake with awesome views of the lake, old temple with monkeys & parrots, and of city palace from the 2nd floor. The first floor has mattresses & low-height tables to sit & eat in traditional Indian style. The food is cooked from fresh raw materials so it takes 10-20 min more than usual, and the serving staff communicates which menu item will take long time.

“Healthy Dining....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

It's advertised as healthy dining, but they never had brown rice ready and waiting. The food was very tasty if not a little overpriced. We did eat larger better breakfasts for less money in other places. But the place is lovely, and their tasty cookies are well worth 70 rupees for 6.

“A surprise hit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

I say surprise just based on the value for the money. We had passed this place many times and I knew that it was a very socially-conscious business, but assumed that due to this fact it would be VERY expensive. My girlfriend convinced me to go finally and we were blown away! The perfect combination of taste, culinary innovation, value, service, AND ethics. Highly recommend.

PS...the menus are really cool, too!

“A relaxing evening with good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

I had a bad time with food since I arrived in India. Indian food taste nice at the beginning, and very soon I crave for something different. Both me and my friend were very sick when we arrived at Udaipur, when I happened to walk into this place, they were really nice to us, we enjoyed our talk with one of staff there, he's very knowledgeable, and very passionate about food. But unfortunately, we were too sick to taste more varieties, the kitchen cooked my friend some om-rice (off the menu), and I ordered a Bean Chaat which ends up amazingly tasty. (I tasted the same chaat somewhere else later, and the taste just too far apart)

We enjoyed the view from the restaurant, from upstairs, you could see the city palace over at the other side of the lake, it looks breathtaking when it's being lit up. The price here is also very reasonable, with the good food and service, it's one of good places to enjoy your dinner in town.
