“Awesome place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

Best view in udaipur, hotel rooms are beautiful and very clean. Staff is very helping and friendly.
Suggestion from my side is even if you have to delay the trip if not getting availability in this hotel then do so but don't go for any other hotel.

We stayed at Raas Leela for our marriage anniversary in March this year. The camps/cottages are based on lake Pichola. The location provides amazing views of Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. You will also have a decent view of the City Palace. Their service, ambiance and food was just fab. The rooms are spacious with bath (not just shower). The staff was kind enough to accommodate our request for decorating the room and arranging a cake for the occasion. They arranged for an amazing decoration and the cake was just sumptuous. They even reserved the best table in the house for our dinner on the night, right next to the lake, without any requests. It was so nice of them to do that! They made all the effort to make us feel welcome. The food was awesome. In fact, the restaurant is quite popular with the locals and gets really busy in the evening. Thanks to all the staff at RaasLeela for making our stay memorable.
I cant think of any bad points about the place. The only thing perhaps is the approach to the location but that was already known to us so it didn't came as a surprise. We took a flight from delhi and the it was about 30-25 minutes drive from the airport. They arranged for a pickup from the point where our taxi dropped us off. It was under 5 minute drive to Raas Leela and we were just amazed by the location. Another thing to bear in mind is that they do not allow food inside the camp/cottage. I know it can be an issue with some people but there is a sitting area outside each cottage where you can have food, etc and its your own private space.
All in all, a must stay if you are looking for an amazing accommodation in Udaipur. It is a place where you can even spend days if not weeks without having to go out and about.

Room Tip: Room 101 if you want views of Lake Pichola from your room as well as bathroom. Not recommended for p...

We had a pleasant time in this hotel. Whole day we were at hotel only since we want some leisure time to rest. Morning and evening time was charismatic. Staff are good in service. Food is OK. Room amenities is excellent which includes good air condition, spacious room, LCD TV, Soft bed and huge bathroom. Everything is perfect, however, it is very difficult to locate this hotel. It is not easily reachable. We had trouble locating it. Also, the local public residing near hotel is very strange. We did not had a pleasant sleep since there were so much disturbance at 3 AM. Some drunken guy/ghost was shouting like anything and eventually my wife got scared due to this strange incident. I approached hotel manager in morning and discussed about this incident. Surprisingly he did not admit about the incident and told that everything was normal in night and he did not heard anything. He was a night manager and crafted a new story that since yesterday was navratra last day, maybe some people have gathered. I did not argue with him about this topic as I believe that he might do not want to disclose some fact. But, believe me at that night I and my wife heard crying/shouting voice of a guy. It was such a load that everyone in that residence would get awake. But, no one even dared to come out of room. I would never again go to this hotel due to this horrible experience.

We stayed in Raas Leela for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay there. The view of the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir in Lake Pichola as well as the City Palace just across the lake is fabulous, especially in the evening. Food in the restaurant (in the lawn right next to the lake) was superb - and so was the service. The rooms were clean, cosy and comfortable; but lacked a wardrobe. The biggest drawback is the approach to the hotel, which is through very narrow lanes. But the hotel arranged for an auto rickshaw for pickup as well as drop off.

Initially we were apprehensive about the hotel as we hadn't heard about it. But once we reached there, we were surprised to see the excellent view from the hotel of Lake Pichola, City Palace, Jagmandir Palace, Lake Palace - all in one frame !!!

The staff was very helpful, food was delicious, tent rooms were comfortable & tidy and the ambience was great. It also present an amazing view in the evening and night. It's worth going at such a tariff.

The only issue is the narrow approach of this hotel, but you need to inform the staff beforehand so that they can arrange for your transport.

Definitely a photographer's (like me) delight !!

Room Tip: First 4 rooms that are adjacent to lake are fabulous. On flip side, people may bump on your podium a...
