“Nice Property and Good experience staying at this place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

Hotel Ramada Udaipur is away from the city but has its own unique charm. The property is built very well and you will enjoy the pool and the nice rooms which are located at a height. The evenings are great and the lighting adds to the effect. One word of caution - the menu in the buffet us not very great and surely not commensurate with the expectations one has from such hotels. Service in the room is decent. Overall and nice experience. Great place for staying with family or friends.

Room Tip: Food menu is not great. Menu is repeated and this feedback has been given to the hotel. All rooms ha...

I was planning a 2 day trip to Udaipur ............after going through reviews on trip advisor and enquiring about the tariffs we selected Ramada Resorts & Spa, Udaipur
we travelled as a couple and had booked a Premium room.........this room is spacious ........has a sitting area and also has balcony.........the view of the city and lake was good......for the best view u can go to the terrace of the room........ bathroom was clean.............bed was also very good....

Food was also good.............breakfast has many options........there is a gym and spa and swimming pool but we did not use any of these.........my husband wanted to try his hand at archery and we both enjoyed that experience very much

the staff at Myra restaurant was very warm and welcoming........we enjoyed having food there
Overall the stay was very comfortable ....we enjoyed it very much....would definitely like to visit some other time

Room Tip: Rooms on the Upper Floors have a good view of the Lake and City

We stayed 3 nights at the Ramada in Udaipur. It is a charming place with an incredible view of the city and Monsoon Palace. It is far away from the central area of Udaipur which was the only downside. However, it is quiet and clean. The 'fort-like' architecture lends a uniqueness to the experience and the grounds are lovely to walk around. The view from the roof is stunning and the air is clean-er seeming. The pool looked very inviting but it was too chilly for us to enjoy during our stay [early Jan 2014]. We enjoyed a few drinks in the lovely bar [small and quiet - a great respite spot to relax]. The bartender told me he'd never made a mango margarita [which I ordered from the menu]. It was beyond delicious! The complimentary masala peanuts and peas were equally delicious. The rooms were clean, large, and comfortable with free wi-fi. It was the only hotel in India we stayed in with free wi-fi. The service at the front desk was wonderful. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. We needed to stay an extra night due to flight issues and they were immediately accommodating. Aside from impeccable service, the food was the highlight. The Myra restaurant served fabulous food! We were in heaven for lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet [that was free with our room package] offered a large selection of both Indian and western fare. The Indian choices by far were more delicious. While they had western and Chinese choices for lunch and dinner we stuck with the Indian food. The wait-staff were incredible sweet and went overboard to serve us in that typical Indian style of hovering [not annoyingly so]. They were thrilled when we enjoyed the spicier options but asked if we wanted milder choices. The food at this hotel is truly second to none compared to other hotels we stayed in [in both Delhi and Agra]. The restaurant manager came to chat with us and I jokingly asked for the recipe for a delectable shrimp dish. To my surprise and delight, he gave me a typed copy when we checked out the next morning. You cannot beat the service and food at this hotel. We liked the quiet relaxed feel and because we had access to a driver, it was ok to be a bit farther out. However, that is one thing to note -- if you want to walk around outside of the hotel grounds the area nearby is a local village - fascinatingly "India" but not a great place to walk about to be honest. The oly issue we had was with the heat which was turned off during the day and it was freezing. We were out most of the time so we didn't notice until one day we were there wanting to nap in the afternoon. However, I am sure if we had let them know, they would have turned on the heat. Our heat wasn't working well our first night but they sent an engineer immediately to fix it. It worked. They provide a complimentary bottled water each night as well which is a nice touch.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had a "deluxe" room. Not sure what that means but the room was very large, had an incre...

Ramada surely is a great hotel if you wish to take time away from your daily routine. The place has got ample space to flaunt its architecture and beauty. The rooms are quite spacious and offer great view. The beauty of the hotel is enhanced by the added features such as two beautiful pools, an archery range and so on.

Stayed there for two nights during Feb/Mar last year. One thing I must say that the place is utterly beautiful. :-)

Food and all was good. Seriously impressed by the hospitality over there. :-)

Some minor delays, but they are expected anywhere. Keep it up guys.

We have been there recently for a family trip and stayed at Ramada for 2 nights and 3 days. The accomodation and service was very good. The area of improvement is in their food quality,it is good but it needs to be better.Just include breakfast over there in your package.Have the lunch and dinner outside. The quality of tea is very poor,it needs lot of improvement.
