We visited Avalon's during spring break 2010. We seated ourselves and waited 10 minutes for a menu and water. Then the real wait began. Our order was taken at 6:20 p.m. Then 45 mins. later my husband was informed they were out of the lasagna he ordered. He ordered another menu item and the waitress said our order would be next up. That was around 7:10 p.m. At 7:20 my husband once again asked how long it would be on the food. We were told 8 mins. so he set his stop watch. The 8 mins. were up and so were we. We had ordered a Dr. Pepper and waters, so we left money on the table for the drink and left at 7:30, 1.5 hrs. after we arrived. I know this is a small restaurant and it appeared they were short handed but it was an awful experience. We went to another restaurant, we ordered pizza, ate and left in 45 mins. and the food was great! If you want a SLOW dinner then try Avalon.
