“Good and Bad!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

The first visit was disappointing. No silverware or napkins either on the table or provided by the waitress. No refills on drinks were even offered. The hamburgers were very good and presented well on the plate. The 2nd. time was quite different with a new waitress and she was very friendly and talkative. We had beef ribs and fajitas and they were very good.

“Slow service, cold food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Stopped in here with my family for dinner. We ordered the chile relleno, fried cod, steak salad and chicken fried steak. The dining room had 5 tables with patrons and only one server to serve everyone. She tried hard but wasn't keen on answering questions and seemed very much in the weeds and flustered. At some point she just started bringing out dishes enmasse - they must've been there while she took orders. She could've used help from the kitchen if that many dishes were stacking up. The hot foods listed above were all either cold or luke warm in spots. The chicken fried steak and cod were all served from frozen paties, making for a "mystery meat" texture and taste. The relleno was the only redeeming dish, but it was so smothered in cheese so you couldn't really get the freshness of the chile and the cheese had cooled to a hard consistency. Also, the menu has far too many dishes they couldn't possibly serve them all fresh. I get visions of freezers with old or boxed food based on the sheer volume of dishes and lack of staff. It's a shame because the view from this place is specatcular! Post-card vistas all arround...could be a wonderful experience with better food, more staff & outdoor seating.

If you are in Angle Fire, there are other offerings to try, or just make the trip into Taos or Red River - you'll be better off.

“Worst experience ever!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2012

We went in and were the only people in the restraunt, first they were out of almost every beer on tap, finally we got a shock top and the server brings me a 3/4 full beer and says she's sorry she ran out in the keg. Then when we ordered she never brought us our salad plates.... In the mean time we can see two employees sitting around eating... It took 40 mins to get our food, no refills cane by so we sat with empty cups. The food was dried, over cooked, and was burned. I work in a restraunt and know things can be stressful and I try not to complain but this was the worst service and some of the worst cooking I've ever had and wee only had burgers, how hard is that to cook?? When we complained about our food, the lady was extremely rude, told us they couldn't get good cooks and tough luck and they wouldn't replace or comp any of our food. They brought us our bill immediately and then watched us and starred us down from the kitchen. Worst $40 I've ever spent!!!!!

“Can't figure it out!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2012 via mobile

Recently ate here with 3 friends. No one liked their meal, service was slow with few people there. However I have been by several times the last few days and always looked like several cars in parking lot. On my experience, don't see how this place stays open but apparently others are there. Don't understand it.
