Owner description: The Memorial was dedicated in 1971 and was the first major Vietnam memorial in the United States. In 1987 Congress recognized the site as a memorial of national significance. Our visitor center features educational exhibits. The grounds are a peaceful and beautiful backdrop for the Chapel.

“Beautiful, extremely moving memorial and visitor's center on the Enchanted Circle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2010

Visited this memorial with a teenager, someone in her twenties, and several adults who grew up in the 60's. Everyone was incredibly moved by the memorial and visitor's center. The video in the visitor's center is well worth taking the time to watch.

“Great tribute dedicated to the Viet Nam vets.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2010

This well designed and maintained memorial was built by the father of a Marine killed in action in Nam in 1967. It is billed as the only museum dedicated stricktly to the war in Viet Nam.It has quite a bit of memorabelia, photos, and about a 20 min. film depicting events of the war. The park service serves as ward of the museum and grounds and offers tours twice per day at no charge. there is also no entry fee for the park. If you are a VN vet or know someone who is, I highly recommend a visit
