We were going to a wedding in Jodhpur but also wanted a typical Rajasthan desert type experience on the side. A friend suggested the Osian Resort Camp. It looked good on the website and the price was about right. We wouldn't have minded something a little more expensive and better but there seemed no option in that area.
On arrival we found the place bare and unattractive. The linen was dirty as were the tent flaps, the food was awful, everything tasted the same and was dripping with oil. The staff were friendly enough and the folk singers in the evening were very good, took our mind off the messy accommodation. None of the side trips mentioned in the booking materialised. No trips to shepherds, local tribes, potters, weavers, no desert agriculture farm and when we asked about desert wildlife we were pointed to a passing deer! The sand dunes were a disappointment. We couldn't complain to anybody either as the office was in Jodhpur and we were some 70 miles away!
