“a very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

in this old but so well renewed haveli , the rooms are very nice . The restaurant in the center of the building ( open air ) is a charming place to have dinner. It is well located, close to the center of the city , it is remarkably quiet .
Good value for money.

Room Tip: ask for a room in uper floors

We stayed at Kuchaman Haveli Jodhpur December 22-23, 2012. Took a standard room for Rs 2000/-.
The Haveli is classy from inside. Neat and clean. Rooms are good. Building facade looks very good. Mr. Aabid and Hari Singh (the reception guys) are very polite and nice. They arranged for a free pickup from Railway Station.
Nice place for foreign tourists who want to have a look into old world India streets('gully'-street' in hindi) . Cows loiter all over...
Indians would rather opt for a hotel bigger and neater/wider road with space around.
Kuchaman has a terrace view of Mehrangarh fort (but they don't serve breakfast or dinner on rooftop). One can also see jaswant Thada and ummaid Bhavan very clearly from the rooftop.

For many Indians (over 60 years' age) ,living in Kuchaman would remind them of their childhood years of life in galee/koochaas of India...

Another plus is that it is very close to Clock tower and railway station. After a 7/8 minutes stroll in the oldworld bylanes one reaches Clocktower area

I would still praise Kuchaman for its nice staff, neat and clean rooms and overall ambience inside...

Aabid is extremely helpful. I wanted to leave my luggage at Kuchaman despite vacating the room after checkout . Aabid offered to keep the luggage with him as a special gesture. Thanks to him. I collected the luggage next day for my next journey to Jaisalmer...

Room Tip: Try and choose the room where the breakfast is served. Rooms on this floor are better looking(with p...

We stayed here on our recent trip. Staff were friendly and helpful. We opted for the better rooms as the standard rooms we were shown were not nice at all. The nicer rooms however were good, clean and spacious. For some reason double beds only came with two sets of single bed sheets and when questioning hotel staff, it was the only option. The hotel building is very nice especially in the eating areas.

Walking from the hotel to the clock tower was quite an experience with all the traffic as you need to walk directly through the market. However, that may be part of the Jodphur experience.

The hotel staff helped us get a good deal on a car that was returning to Udaipur which saved us some money.

Room Tip: Only option is really the deluxe type rooms. The cheaper rooms are not pleasant.

Stayed in Jodhpur for two nights. We informed the hotel of the time of arrival, but when we arrived (late at night) the room was no yet ready. We waited a moment while the hurriedly prepared the room. When we finally got in the room, the toilet was very dirty, with urine remain on the toilet seat.
Room was big, but the matress was very hard as well as the pillows. Breakfast was very simple consisting only of toast, butter, cereals, banana and eggs (if requested).
When booking the hotel the reservation said Wi-fi was free of charge. When we checked in, they said there was a daily charge of 100rps for the internet. At the end, after paying the bill I confronted the recepcionist about the wi-fi, who said it was in fact free and that we would return the money if I had paid.

Room Tip: If you really have to stay on this hotel, check the rooms before you choose and make sure the have c...

Heritage Kuchaman haveli.. it is really beautiful hotel.
We like our rooms so much as beautiful decorated and super clean and very relaxed atmosphere.
The owner/manage is so helpful and friendly. they let us use their computer for free as well.
I like this family atmosphere. My parents became friend of owner's father.
The food quality isnt very good. as I have to ask many time to send chai in room but its comes so late. even they dont serve breakfast in rooms. I like the idea to have breakfast outside but never got proper breakfast. I never had any lunch or dinner so no comments about that.
I can recommend this hotel to everyone who love to stay in relaxing room in the old city.

stayed for two nights 26th-28th Nov.2102 with family. Although you can say the location of the property in the centre of Jodhpur but it has bad surrounding and conjusted narrow roads leads to this haveli. We stayed in the ground floor and did not felt like staying in the haveli. Interiors and rooms are well done. First floor seems to be good and b/f on that floor is good place to eat food is average and very slow service. Owner is more inclined towards foreigners, low priority given to Indians. On a whole very avarage for an Indian.

Recommended by a relative, we booked this hotel for a two night stay in Nov, 2012. Even though I informed the owner that we will be arriving late, he gave our room to somebody else. But, he accommodated us in a deluxe room for one night. It was so nice of him. It is very difficult to get directions to this hotel as it appears a lot of people do not know the location of Merti gate. It is in a very congested and in a very unkempt location. The road to the tower clock will get very crowded during the day time. The front of hotel, Lobby and courtyard of the hotel looks OK. The standard room size is small, beds are hard and blankets are not clean. Roof top dining space is good but free breakfast is a joke. The guy who does the cooking does not look like cooks. They are very unprofessional. For the same money, there may be better places in the newer parts of the city.

Room Tip: Ask for Deluxe room. It costs a little more but it will have more space.
