The most beautiful building in all of Jaisalmer - the intricately carved exterior and interior will leave you breathless.
Your trip will be incomplete without a visit here.
Now only if the Government of India understood the value and appreciated the beauty of this old building.
There are 2 sections of this 'haveli' open to the public - one is govt. managed and hence in poor condition. The other is privately managed, has a higher entry fee (INR 50 for Indians, 200 for non-Indians) but provides a much bettr understanding of how people actually lived in these havelis.
We were left thoroughly impressed but saddened by the fact that the govt. of India does not care about its treasures.
