I was staying 10 days in Jaisalmer. The first two days I stood in another hotel but because of the noise I shifted to a new one, the Hotel Ganesh in the really middle of the city. Near Gandhi Chowk, where it is not so touristic but more really indian city life, actulally more like in a village. Hotel is in a calm lane with cattle and their calws roaming, goats jumping and a lot of kids with pet dogs. Didn't see a car...
Still I was near to any "tourist spot".
Rooms are clean and the clean bed had good matresses. Light was working, hot shower was working, fresh bedsheet changed after 2 days - and that in a small guest house in the nowhere of India...
What else: Meeto, the cook and manager, was very friendly, gave interesting advises and was a surprising good cook!
Best: I was asked ONE time, if I would like to participate in a camel-safari. In the other hotel that was the good-morning and good-night-question. What was REALLY not nice!!!
Ganesh: Very good. Price even better
