“Comfortable Homestay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

The place is located in a heritage Qila with small by lanes & gives a perfect feel of a royal life. The Hotel doesnt have a parking but Mr. Vinay(Owner) ensured that our car is safely parked. He was very helpful during the entire trip & gave us some good tips on how to explore the city.
The room was good with basic facilities & Vinay helped us with everything extra we needed without sligtest of hesitation. I would recommend this place to all to experience a good Rajasthani homestay feeling.

We visited the place in Dec'13 for a family holiday. The owner is one of the friendliest persons we have met in Rajasthan. He personally sent an auto driver to pick us from the station as we had booked for the night at Sam Dhani and our train reached at about 12.30PM. Though we did not have the booking for the night with them (but for the next day), he advised us to get freshen up, to keep our luggage in the store room, have lunch in the nearby rooftop Bengali Hotel (he owns the same has all workers from West Bengal as his hotel is very familiar among Bengalies) and relax for sometime before leaving for Sam. He advised that reaching Sam in hot sun is not a very good idea as the Sunset is at about 6.30PM. Then he arranged a vehicle for us to travel to Sam at a reasonable price of 1500/- for the overnight stay with us at Sam.
Next day we reached the hotel at about 10.00AM and we had booked a good room at the second floor but seeing the climb of staires, my wife requested him to move us to the first floor room which he readily agreed. The hotel is located very close to the Jain temple. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. It has hot water. Nice place to spend the time with family.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have good view but should be ready for the staires..

I stayed in hotel Siddhartha one night and was very satisfied. My room was nice, hot water in shower etc. Very good location inside the fort and near Jain temples. Their restaurant is also near and had good breakfast and lunch/dinner.

I left my luggage to hotel when I had night cafari from other company and the manager let me use their hot shower, which was really nice.

This is first time when I make review and I do this because I was so happy with their service.

This is a good hotel run by decent people. Hotel owner is very friendly and so operative. We searched it through Trip-advisor and booked it with ' Makemytrip' and our experience was good with the company. However rooms are small but facility is good Hot water in the morning is really a favorable one. Roof-Top has a scenic view of Jaisalmer. Many shops are there around the hotel and near to Jain temple selling antique(?) goods. You must visit the sand dune near the SAM Vilage. Stay there if you want to experience the desert night. Price varies from 300 to 1700 rupees per person for a night. Heavy bargain. Have a camel ride on sand dunes.

Room Tip: Private vehicles are not allowed until night to early morning in this area.If you want to check out...

the hotel is in the fort, just next to splendid jain temples. rooms are very clean and comfy.
The owner is really really kind, always happy to help, and talk to you. "a place for happiness" is not just a slogan, his behavior really proves it.
We made a little ride with him and a friend to places in the suburb of Jaisalmer, it was so nice.

The manager was very proud of the hot water.

Free internet! Just ask and you'll be able to use the computer they have in their office.

The family runs a nearby restaurant, which was nice, decent prices, and a good menu.

You apparently have room service, but our phone was never working.

I'd recommend trying to stay in the fort if possible. Hotel Siddhartha is located in a nice spot in the fort next to the Jain temples. A fairly quiet part of town.
