We stayed 1 night in a suite as a stopover on the way to Amritsar from Jodhpur. The suite had a nice enough, spacious bathroom (though the shower area was quite dingy and the curtain was dirty). The room had "haveli style" decor, good air conditioning, and an ok bed. Try to shower during off hours because there's no hot water during "rush hour" times.
Since we were only here for a day, we sprung for the hotel's private A/C car to take us the rat temple and to Junagarh fort. It was a very comfortable sedan and the driver was very professional.
We also sprung for a half-day sunset camel safari arranged by the hotel; it was relatively expensive but we only live once! The front desk manager disclosed to us that the Thar desert in this area wasn't spectacular but said he's book the safari for us if we wanted to; I thought this was very professional of him to tell us beforehand so we didn't expect the great Sahara desert or anything. The owner of the hotel (!) turned up and drove us to the desert in his new jeep and even drove us back to the hotel after we were finished in his other nice car. It was cool talking to him. We had a great time.
We ate all of our meals at the hotel (it's a little bit away from downtown) just because it was convenient. The food isn't half bad and they have several eating areas. The rooftop restaurant was a good area for dinner, and there's a ground level cafe but beware of the mosquitoes.
Overall, while I found the suite to be average, the service was the highlight. The manager had this booming radio voice which I thought was pretty cool. Everyone was helpful and professional.
