“Good place to watch.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

One can feel the true atmosphere of the forest on the way to the fort.

There are Hindu temple, Jain temple , Dargha, etc inside the fort. How the people in ancient times used to stay in brotherhood can be understood from the constructions.

A breath taking view of the forest can be availed from the fort.

A sure place to visit.

“Grand remnant of a bygone era”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Whilst visiting Sawai Madophur & Ranthambore we were recommended to visit the fort if time permitted and so glad we did. It's quite a hike up (around 700 steps) but the views from the top over the national park are sensational. The fort, now in ruins still gives you a sense of it's size and original grandeur and contains several temples, the first to Ganesh located very near to the first gate, and another situated further in which still attracts worshippers in number. Also inside the walls you will find what's left of grand palaces and homes, cenotaphs and gateways. It's plainly a place for pilgrims & worshippers and home to large troops of langur monkeys too. If you appreciate historic sights, stunning vistas, peaceful surrounds and wildlife sightings you will enjoy as we did.
