“Great place for Training Program”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

If you really want your trainings to be effective, then this is the place. Camp temgarh provides the right ambiance for serious training. In November,13 we had conducted 3 day workshop and the feedback was awesome. We were provide with all the requisites for the training program. Stay & food was excellent.

Room Tip: Tents and corner rooms are the best

Twenty of us, friends and family, visited Camp Temgarh on the 19th and 20th of December, for 2 nights. From the second we entered to when we left, the whole experience was great. The views surrounding the 'nature retreat' as it is called were absolutely stunning.
The tents we stayed in were extremely comfortable and very suave, not at all like the regular adventure tents one is used to seeing. The attached toilets were also very clean and comfortable.
The food was a huge bonus and we were extremely happy with the quality of dishes and starters served, probably the best I have had in and around Pune. The staff, especially Mahavir, was extremely courteous and helpful and took very good care of us throughout and entertained every request.
The children had a ball playing with the dogs who were extremely friendly and accompanied us for a walk to the river, 2 minutes away from the property. The splashing around we did in the cool waters was extremely fun and refreshing with the sun right over our heads.
Early next morning some of us went for a walk in the hills on a small road Mahavir told us about. We brought along a flask of steaming hot tea and sipped it while looking at the sunrise. We even got lucky and spotted a pair of peacocks!
All in all a wonderful experience. Camp Temgarh is now on top of my list for future rendezvous with Mother Nature.

Room Tip: We found the tents a different experience. The other rooms also have their own charm.

Since this place is a little off the main road which leads to Lavasa(its about 2 km inside, several kms before lavasa) its quiet and the surroundings are superb. There is a river that flows nearby , its a beautiful 3 to 5 minute walk till there. The other walks around the area are wonderful too. The food is excellent... they serve a veg lunch and a non veg dinner, and can customize according to their requirements... and the staff does all they can to make your stay homely and comfortable, which is so wonderful when you are traveling with very small kids in your group
Its also a great place for activities and its ideal for those who like to chill out and do nothing! If its chilly, the bonfire is a great idea.
There are five very friendly dogs on this large property.
The AC tents seem very comfortable too, with clean attached loos.

Room Tip: If in a large group, take the cottages in the middle, as the two are connected to each other with a...

Unhelpful staff who don't know what's 100 meters left or right of the property; ordinary food, untidy cottages. And it's not cheap. After telling the management that we will not be needing an extra tent and that they can charge the cancellation fee, which is standard practice across the world - the owner was rude, un-courteous and downright unpleasant insisting on the full payment. We paid, not wanting to create a scene, with so many kids in the group. So they better up their service or I hope a better management takes over the property or it just shuts.

Overall a one of a kind forgetful experience.

Camp Temgarh is a fantastic getaway, if you’re looking to escape the traffic jams, pollution and noise of city life. And to think its just about an hour’s drive from Aundh !!
The road is quite good too. Right from Chandni Chowk within up to a kilometer of Camp Temgarh we had no problem at all. There’s just a few meters of untarred road leading to the camp once you turn off the main road. We were attended to within minutes of reaching the site by Mr Rajan Anand the owner and his staff promptly made us comfortable at the Gazebo, while we waited for our appointed cottage to be vacated.
Camp Temgarh is surrounded by rolling hills on all sides and the slopes were covered with lush greenery and a carpet of grass. The air was fresh and clean and it was a joy to just breathe in the refreshing nature all round. Our cottage was sparkling clean and spacious too even though we were 8 people in all. There were 2 attached baths, which were also clean and large. The bed linen was crisp and fresh with an ample supply of cosy blankets to ward off the November chill. We had chicken curry, sabzi, rotis, rice , pickles, papad and salad topped off with a sweet dish for lunch.
Camp Temgarh is perfect for those who love nature and the outdoors. One can go for walks on the hill slopes or along the stream flowing closeby. There’s a playground for football, volleyball and a small pool table too. Cycles are provided if you want burn off the excess calories and airguns for some recreational target practice. You can also simply sit on one of the park benches and drink in the beauty of nature all around.
As the evening grew colder Mr Rajan arranged for a roaring bonfire , tasty starters from the tandoor and some haunting retro music on our table followed by a leisurely dinner of veg and non veg food. It was a memorable evening and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The next day we left after a hearty breakfast of poha, French toast, hot puris and bhaji.
We will definitely come again when we start choking on city life again.

Was there with family and friends. Excellent property and location - surrounded by hills and has plenty of space to walk around and for kids to run around. Good food and service by Mahavir, who looks after the property. Kids had a great time in the swings and the open space in the company of their friendly dogs.

However, the hygiene levels need to improve - cobwebs in the bathrooms, unclean cutlery, poor quality fittings, torn curtains, dust, etc take away from the experience. I am not expecting luxury but good hygiene. If these can be corrected, I'd love to go there again and again. Otherwise, will avoid for the price.

30 kms from Pune along a winding road amidst gathering clouds - tucked away in a little village is Camp Temgarh. A place with a hill that doesn't have a name and a river the name of which is not important. With elegantly furnished cozy cottages where comfort is not compromised upon, gracefully merging into the rustic milieu, and open spaces - a welcome respite from the cities, Camp Temgarh is an offbeat holiday resort that opens you up to simple pleasures of life.
