Stayed for about 15 nights in 2009, spread over a few trips. This was obviously once a grand hotel - now its just dated in appearance and lacks the contemporary feel and service that you get in newer hotels. While the staff are polite, the service is mediocre at best - the feel you get is simple - "you're just another guest, and we get so many of you every day" - Not a nice feeling :-)
The positives - good location and a great rooftop Indian restaurant with fabulous Indian food - and a fantastic pool. But be ready to pay for everything. Apart from the food / rooms / spa etc, can you believe they charge 20 bucks (US Dollars) a day for Internet usage !! Ridiculous!
SPG should seriously consider dropping this property from their chain - once the Westin Pune is open.
