We as a family of 4, stayed at shahee resorts - big building but needs maintenance and rooms very bad and need renovation. food mediocre and resort not at all value for money. You go on a food included package and the feeling at the resort is they are giving you free food. Highly avoidable place. please do not look at the photos and opt for this.

Room Tip: avoid the resort

Though I am a frequent traveler and have been to many places, I made a big mistake this time by ignoring reviews and trusting the pictures and Booked this place for 2 N 3 D...

1] The location is too weird ..its 1.3 KM from main Mahabaleshwar Panchagani Road...Ultimately 8KMs from Panchagani & 16 KMs from Mahabaleshwar. There are no public transport modes for this place

2] This is a big -ve if you dont have a car...as Taxies would rob you off. They take Rs.150 for 1 way drop and 450 odd for Panchagani tour and 900 odd for Mahabaleshwar basic tour.

3] The resort was build with great vision, but due to poor occupancy the maintenance is very bad...Its not clean, bathrooms / balconies are having insects. Swimming pool is full of various insects and was not cleaned for 4-5 days. There are no recreation facilities.

4] The food is equally disappointing. Neither good quality nor quantity. The Unlimited breakefast includes two dishes with Tea / Coffee ( one of the worst we ever had) and bread butter (We were sceptical @ butter quality too)

Though the owners have built a good place, due to very low footfalls ( in my 3 days of stay, we hardly saw 4-5 other ppl around) Staff is good but a bit lethargic. To summarize, not only for this case, for any hotel when you travel, please do a thorough research and refer to TripAdvisor like sites so that you holiday will not be spoilt

The location is very peaceful and nice. We were 3 couple and 3 kids. We had booked the deluxe rooms and our stay was for 2nights and 3 days. The Owner Mr. Shah, was a kind gentleman, very polite. The hospitality provided was more than expected. We checked-in around 3:3pm and even after the kitchen being closed, the staff arranged the hot buffet lunch, exclusively for us, at 4pm. The quality and taste of lunch and breakfast was good but the dinner was not to the expectation. The place is huge but needs maintenance, especially the rooms and indoor games area. We went in rainy season and the rooms were stinking of moisture. The overall experience was very good.

Large property, imposing structure but needs maintenance, Rooms big but need renovation. OK for a few days as location is a bit off the beaten track and therefore quiet. Food mediocre and limited buffet. Very late breakfast. Feels more like a guesthouse. All in all an average experience.
