“Superbbbbb location.... awesome view from the resort....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

I went there last weekend with my husband and two dogs.. everything was great.. the resort is located at the best viewing location.. the valley, Krishna river, dam enhanced with the sunset (we couldn't get up early to view sunrise both the mornings). We didn't struggle finding the location, caretaker and staff were co-operative, we requested for changing the bed sheet as it was stained that was done immediately, room service done on request, tea as many times we asked for. there were just two more families except us in that huge property so there was enough privacy for us.
Best thing as we were there with our dogs, they enjoyed the climate and the open gardens. we just had awesome time.... would like to go there again soon..

Room Tip: Front rooms on 1st level are just the best.

We went to this place in August 2006. It was raining badly, power cut. When we reached the road, no signs, one small dhaba person helped us reach this place. It was like a horror location, no people to see around. When we reached, the room we got was damp, very untidy. We were scared but didn't have any other option to search for other hotels in night. We were scared to have the food also- so one of us had the food and the other waited to watch incase they would have mixed something in the food. The food was very tasty. That night was horrifying as it was raining badly and the other rooms were all empty.Morning we found the place with good views and the staff helped us by booking a taxi.

Room Tip: All rooms havve good view

The hotels is good. Nothing BAD! However service need lot of improvement. Also, the restaurant do not offer variety in menu. Fortunately the chef was good who provided us very tasty food.

However, the location is best factor. Amazing view of river, valley & Dam. Its scenic not only in the morning but also in the night when the village down in valley gets lit up with their lamps.

Rooms are also basic, but the staff is co-operative & will help you with your requirements.

Room Tip: All rooms are facing valley. However duplex are far better for view & location.

Panchgani Health resort is located on a hill on Panchgani - Mahabaleshwar Road. Good part is, it is not located in Panchgani town and now crowd. Approach road is very narrow so if you have SUV or a big VAN be cautious while choosing this resort. It is almost 3-4 kms from Panchgani on way to Mahabaleshwar just a narrow righ turn after MAMAS factory. One can see River, hills , lush green fields from the balcony of the room which is I believe the best view in Mahabaleshware and Panchgani. Food is also one thing which we can appreciate. Though Breakfast, Tea etc. are very costly and not worth to spend. Lunch and Dinner, VEG Thali is outstanding and worth spending 150 rs. Room was quite neat and clean but but bead sheet, pillow covers and blanket was not at all upto the mark (some dark spots and torn). Better you take your own beadsheets so as to give you an extra cover on top of these. One should take badminton, cards etc....This place has no other aminities like TT or snooker. Swimming pool is very dirty of no use. Apart from this better check rates in advance as they might give you a surprise bill by adding some service tax for which they will not give you a proper receipt. Arguing is better as they easily take that service tax off...as literally there is no room service. :-) it is more like a bread and breakfast ...you go sleep and visit kitchen to get food. Room Chai is not good. so dont go for it. Seasonal rates are high but worth keeping Location in mind. A very well deserved place for further visit though theres lot of room for maintenance like proper approach road, room service. I can say it is not really professional so it can be good for late bookers especially during christmas and season like me. Overall I am quite happy and satisfied with the stay I have had.
