“Beautiful place to stay in.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Very lovely setting and very nice looking hotel from outside. The hotel is huge and rooms are very big, neat and tidy and provides great ambience. The location is not far from the temples and staff are courteous, friendly and very attentive. The buffet breakfast is lovely and so is the lunch. The dinning hall and the shops are very attractive. I suppose this place is value for money and it is also in a quite location. I will undoubtly return to this place whenever I revisit Khajuraho.

Incredible relation between Value and Price, the staff was very helpful, frendly and professional. Good location, walking distance to Khajuraho temples (15 min). Nice, big, clean rooms, The included breakfast was very good. The Restaurant has lots of local Dishes. When we will go back to India, we are so going back to Hotel Usha Bundela. The pool area was great, specially after a whole day visiting the temples, staff was so nice... they even read our minds even before we needed something.

Driving up to the hotel my first thought --this is too nice, the driver must be playing a joke. It was our hotel and it was beautiful. The lobby, the dining room, the pool, the gardens, the shops all top of the line. Our room was spacious and we loved the bathroom---we had been dealing with showers with water all over the bathroom floor--we had a shower that had a "lip" and the shower itself was large--felt luxurious. The bed was king and comfortable with fresh clean bedding. In the morning we had breakfast in the hotel (part of our deal) it was a buffet and had many choices--no complaints, The tables were set with crisp white linen cloths, the waiters very attentive. All in all it is a place I would return to.

Room Tip: First floor rooms have very high ceilings--less air conditioning needed--the tan kept the room tempe...

my self and my wife visited Khajuraho on 26th Feb to 28th Feb 2013. The room was booked almost one month before. The room is very spacious but in the bath room the hot water is only look warm. Even after complaining we could not get the water more hotter. The front office staff were courteous. The room service is good and the room service staff are very helpful. The food in the restaurant is very costly(May be mainly ment for foreign guests since the hotel was filled with many of them when we visited that place). We did not have the breakfast on both days. We had asked for packed breakfast as we were leaving early morning for jungle safari. The packed breakfast was quite OK). Location is very good.
The hotel is very good except for hot water and cost of food.

The staff was very supporting in considering for early check in and late check out. Rooms are bigger but smelt unpleasantly. Brake fast was below average and the food was overpriced as the hotel increased the prices also. The tours guide is meant for providing true informations but the charges were very high. The highlight of this hotel is a very dedicated staff.

Room Tip: Pool side rooms are better as the back door can be opened to the pool and the garden.

Lets face it, Khajuraho was created out of nothing in the 1970's and a group of American-motel style joints popped-up. This is one of them. Not better not worse than any other.
The rooms are large and not badly appointed, even if bathrooms are in need of serious refurbishment. Breakfast was decent. Internet connection pricey, like everywhere else in India and only working in the lobby.
Are you really into erotic stone carvings. Do you really need a stopover in Khajuraho?

Room Tip: Room 132 at the back is quiet and looks out on a discreet planted area.

Needing last minute accommodation at a time when an international dance festival led to Khajuraho hotels were heavily booked, my wife and I were grateful to find a room at what looked like an impressive hotel at a decent price. The staff worked hard to please but so much about the building let down their efforts. The first room we were shown was particularly dirty; the second was better and, tired from travelling, we settled in. Soon we discovered how our room, e.g., bedspread, curtains, was very dusty, the sun-protective film on one window was half peeled off, and much of the grout between the bathroom tiles was missing. It took several contacts with staff to obtain hot water from the shower. The dining room was small and cramped with the number of people present, and the food, keenly served by a conscientious staff, was very ordinary, even poor. This hotel has the potential, once properly renovated and maintained, to be very good.
