“Wild West Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

We were visiting from the Virgin Islands and our family from Roswell treated us to a evening at the Flying J. What a great family friendly experience! Our group ranged in age from 18 months to 85 years young and we all had a great time. The activities, shopping, and dinner were first rate but it's the music by the Flying J Wranglers that stays with us. We even bought some of there CDs so we can share the western heritage with our Caribbean friends!

“Thank you for preserving our Western Heritage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

I had my doubts, but it was fantastic. No liquor but you won't miss it. Definitely fun for the whole family. Shoot out on main street, shops, chuck wagon style dinner on tin plates, amazing talent on the stage after dinner. Really enjoyed the experience. Thanks for preserving a part of American culture that most of us don't get to see anymore! Bravo!

“If you only do one thing in Ruidoso...DO THIS!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

We have been visiting for nearly 25 yrs and NEVER miss a chance to visit the Flying J. We started bringing our daughter here when she was 4 yrs old, now she has a 5 yr old who has been with us to visit. The Hobbs family, James and Cindy and friends are the best people in the world. God loving, family oriented and good clean fun. It's like stepping back into the 50's when families took vacations at places that were WHOLESOME fun. You get a nice meal (it's NOT supposed to be fancy, its chuckwagon food) and believe it or not my husbands favorite meal of the trip every year (yes we visit ruidoso EVER year). I'm weird but I crave that applesauce and spice cake! Get there early, visit with the entertainers before they do the gun fight show in center square. Visit the quaint shops and let the kiddos pan for "gold" or ride a horse for a few minutes...and yes they can target shoot a bbgun (remember when that kind of stuff was OK to do..well, it still is, thank God!) then eat, and chat with your new friends at your table and sit back and enjoy over an hours worth of WONDERFUL country inspired tunes. Some funny comedy, and some great accoustics! I can not tell you enough...LISTEN TO ME HERE....GOGOGOGOGOGOOOOOOOOOO you will not be disappointed! fabulous! Only open till labor day weekend! I can not wait to visit again, we celebrated anniversary number 2 and 25 with the Hobbs and will see them for 26 this year :)

“Great entertainment and chuckwagon food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

This is a great way to spend the evening during the summer months. The Flying J Wranglers entertain before dinner in the old west town, and then serve a chuckwagon dinner. Afterwards they play and sing.
