We have just arrived back at our hotel from the Sea Queen restaurant. The manager outside showed us all the fresh fish as we walked by and we commented that the restaurant looked lovely and breezy. We told him we might be back later and were pleased he didn't try and oversell his restaurant. Walking back he waved at us as we approached smiling, but still not hassling us. We asked about the fish and he recommended the fish basket at 500 rupees (price dependent on market price) each person that came with rice and salad. We agreed and waited to see what arrived. While sitting waiting we had a great view of our dinner being cooked in the tandoor oven just in front of the restaurant.
When the plate arrived it looked delicious and we had no idea how we would eat it all! Swordfish tandoori, grilled shrimps, calamari, fish cooked in banana leaf... All of it tasted so good we polished off the lot! And neither of us really consider ourselves big fish eaters!
All served up in a great atmosphere! We had a couple of cocktails which were ok, not the best bit certainly enjoyable. The only slight problem was getting the bill which took a while, but overall I highly recommend the Sea Queen. If we were here another night we would definitely go back.
