I went there with my in-laws as a weekend trip.
The place is well located with the beach right next to it. All the rooms have a good view of the beach. The hotel compound is also maintained neatly. The staff were generally courteous. The rooms were very large, neat, have a balcony which comes with good view of the beach, specially the rooms on the first floor. The rooms however do seem worth the tariff charged. The ambience, decor, bathroom, TV and fridge are all ancient and desperately require some renovation for the kind of tariff they charge.
Swimming pool, ayurveda etc are available, but did not try out anything so cant comment on it.
The restaurant is above the lobby and is an open one with view of the beach. Food is just average, no variety and takes lot of time. Again for the prices charged, food is a major disappointment. You see, I am from Kerala and it doesnt make sense for me to eat the same food I can get elswhere for much cheaper rates. The day we stayed there was a Rotary gettogether and the restuarant people were telling us it is better you limit your order to the buffet menu for the rotary gettogether. The breakfast menu had very limited items, even cut fruits were missing.
The beach is easily accessible at all times. In the evening it was crowded as it was a weekend. Rest of the time it was peaceful. The beach did not feel safe as it seemed a little steep but basic frolicking in the water should not be a problem. The beach was also clean.
One odd thing, We could not take any personal guests to the room, we could only entertain them in the lobby or restuarant, kind of hostel like.
All in all, it is a clean and neat place but definitely not worth the money they are charging. If you are somebody living in a non costal area and crave for the beach once in the while, it may be worthwhile but the restaurant is still a let down. For people with easy access to beach, it is simply a waste of money.
