We stayed in Vasco House for three days in February 2012.We found it an Ideal location to see Fort Cochin. For Rs.50 we had a three wheeler tour of Ft.Cochin with a running commentary of the sites we were passing!!
Regarding the guesthouse itself we found it cosy having an old world charm. The rooms were with high ceilings of colonial times and very clean..George and his wife were very friendly and helpful in fact when we were leaving for the airport at 5 a.m. he was awake to give us a cup of tea..The cafe downstairs was a godsend as we did not have to go looking for a place for breakfast. The Cafe was well patronised.
Vasco House is close to all the main sites. It is 5 minutes walk to the fishing nets and the adjoining Bus station. The food court where fresh seafood is available is also 5 minutes away.
For the price of Rs1500 including continental or Kerala breakfast we think this is a bargain.
Will we stay again? Yes if we visit Cochin again.
