“Exotic location - very friendly and helpful owners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2011

We stayed at Anns for 3 nights. We had finished our tour of North India and came to Anns for our South India tour. It is really a wonderful place and very friendly family. Great hosts. Leslie the owner arranged tours to Periyar and Munnar including cab and stay. In all our tours of North India and South, we completely enjoyed staying at Anns the best. We wanted to cook food and we bought jumbo prawns and on our request this friendly family cooked them, and also fish curry in kerala style, chappattis along with us and it was like a family get together. It was a totally different experience. The hotel itself is situated in exotic location and very near to all the touristic places in fortcochin. Great breakfast and well kept rooms and very friendly helpful owners. Definitely would come back and also highly recommed this place to all.

Had a wonderful stay in this small boutique hotel for 4 nights. This hotel is located in a quiet location in beautiful natural surroundings. It is a pleasure to sit out and enjoy the natural beauty or watch the fishes and birds. The rooms are bright and airy and spotlessly clean with TV.comfy beds, bath and are cleaned every day. Staff are warm and welcoming. The owners are friendly without being intrusive and very helpful. Excellent breakfast is provided which is included in the tariff. This beautiful place located in a cental area, very close to the beach(just 5 minutes to walk to all the sightseeing areas) is like a sanctuary and you get sound sleep. A place worth the money you spent.

Room Tip: All rooms here are different , bright and sunny. Balcony rooms are few .

This wonderful place run by friendly helpful people. Great rooms, clean toilets with bathtubs. Located in the heart of Fortcochin in a quiet peaceful area. Modern yet traditional style building with plenty of greenery around. Breakfast is delicious, and is served outside where you can watch butterflies and birds. Food is unlimited, toast, butter, jam, honey, porridge, eggs, fruit slices (large plate which itself is very filling) ,fruit juice, tea/coffee. The family is very helpful and the owner helped a lot especially to contact our daughter studying at Bangalore at no extra cost.He arranged flight tickets also. Very very helpful guy. Great rooms, great location, friendly and helpful owners and very relaxing place.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are more brighter

We travelled with a group of 14 persons from Malaysia and of all the places we visited in South India, our stay at Anns was the best. Great pkace, serene beautiful ambience, well done rooms ,large spacious toilets, What more you need. The owner Leslie , a very friendly guy, arranged barbeque party for us and we had a wonderful new year celebration on their open terrace. Breakfast is included in the price and it was delicious and filling, mmm yummy. He gave us the kitchen for a day where we cooked Malaysian food. It was a totally different and very homely experience we enjoyed in this wonderful place. Our group consisted of Malaysians, Chinese , Koreans and Indians all with different tastes but all agreed on one thing, Anns - the best place to relax and enjoy your holidays.

Room Tip: All rooms are sunny and bright, but balcony rooms are few, so book in advance

This really great b&b is runned by friendly owners. We stayed here for 6 nights as a family of 5 persons. The 7th night we left at night to the ariport. Al was arranged by Leslie Fernandez. We stayed here at the end of trip around South India with our family. We stayed in Cochin in July, which is ofcourse the rainy season, but you have all the comfort you want in this little hotel. Breakfast is really nice. Fresh juices on a covered up terrace. One day one of their children made cupcakes for us during teatime, that was really lovely. The rooms are very clean, spotless I would say. We even had a bathroom with a nice big bath and one with a lovely balcony. The rooms have all ac and a lot of space. We recommend people to go to this lovely homestay with very friendly owners. If you read different comments, then it's really because of the wrong attitude from guests. Because this family is nice, polite, hospitable, helpfull and friendly. They are always there if you need them and respect your privacy.

Friendly place, fantastic location. Had a great time at Anns Residency. Stayed here with wife and 3 children. Great breakfast, very filling. Rooms are also fantastic with sheets and towels changed daily. I think this is a good place to stay with children. Fantastic view, good books and located very close to all the sight seeing areas. We could just walk back and come to relax . Leslie the owner was great, very helpful guy. Had a great time at Fort cochin. Lots of friendly people and a great heritage area.

Room Tip: You need to book in advance

Nice location, very close to the center of Fortcochin. This homestay run by Leslie is situated in a calm dutch colonial residential area. It consists of two buildings. We stayed in the rear building. Room was quiet and very spacious. All rooms are bath attached and are also large with tubs. Room is cleaned every day. Good breakfast is served which is included in the room price. They have airport transfer and also arranged packages to Munnar via Kodanad (the place where you can see elephant bath) and periyar. In all a friendly family, friendly atmosphere in good serene.
