“Famous temple”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

It is very famous temple for Goddess. Always very crowded but great place for peace and prayer.
Prayers start at 4 am in the morning and end late at night. Main temple closes by 8 pm but there is another small place down where the prayers start at 8 pm to ward of the evils.

A great place of worship for hindu devotees seeking blessings from Devi herself. Just watch out for those loud cracker sound for those not used to it.

“chottanikkaramma”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

chottanikkara temple is a must visit if you come to cochin. The godess of the temple is really powerful and you must come here to experience it.When you visit the temple you must first go to the keezhkavu temple which is located down a fleet of stairs and adjacent to a large pond. After visiting keezhkavu you must visit the main temple. To enter both the temples men must remove their shirts as it is a custom here and elsewhere in kerala . you must visit the temple either in the morning or evening as the temple will be closed during noon time.
