“Good show”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

We watched the dance show and it was worth the cost and time. Go early to see them applying the makeup, as you'll get some great photo ops and it's impressive. The show in general was something unexpected in India and a nice change of pace from walking around exploring all day!

“Outstanding museum and theatre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

We were taken to this museum as part of a day trip from our hotel in Fort Cochin. It is a private museum, and entrance fees are higher than might be expected in other places, but we thought the place was an absolute must-see. The collection is excellent, and you could spend hours poring over the exhibits.
We greatly enjoyed listening to the guide who had excellent English and a real passion for his subject. The building itself is wonderful. It is a relatively recent building, but contains many heritage elements. It is a great testament to those workers who have demonstrated that high levels of craftmanship are still achievable. The finest part of the building is the theatre which has exquisite detailing and paintings, particularly in the ceiling. We we not able to see a performance in this theatre, but I have no doubt that it is an excellent venue.

“beautiful museum worth visiting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

we haven't seen the show, but the museum itself, in which the theater is housed, is definitely worth a visit. it hosts a great collection of traditional south Indian artifacts, statues, ritual utensils and costumes, art and so on. the information provided is intelligible and helpful to understand the meaning of the exhibits. besides, the building itself is beautiful, with carved wooden ceilings and doorways. you can actually visit the theater as well to marvel at the wall paintings and carvings. the staff is friendly and helpful as well. we enjoyed our visit very much!

“Authentic..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

The place was very well kept.Quite capable of giving us an idea of what people of those times looked like, what they used for cooking, entertainment;an insight into the culture, mindset;like the terracotta genital organs offered to God hoping for a male child tells us the want for male child was existent since those times.
Thanks,
Poornima.
