Nice location and very central. The bus from Madikeri dropped me right a the junction. No need to take a taxi.
The rooms are simple and rather nice. And it seems to be of a good value in Mangalore.

When leaving I forgot my debit card on the counter and realized that while in the train, ready to come back straight away. They reinsured me and ship it to Gokarna with a private company.
I really appreciate this kind of service.

Stayed recently for two nights - absolutely no complaints. Hotel is quite centrally located with easy access to a lots of good restaurants and bars. Check-in process was smooth. All facilities were working satisfactorily - elevators, intercom, safe, shower - both hot and cold and AC. Bathroom, linens and beds were very clean. The breakfast in Diesel Cafe was excellent - all south Indian dishes were up to the mark. Car park was full - but that was not a problem as parking was available at adjacent buildings as it was the week-end. Staff were mostly receptive and service oriented without looking for tips. Definitely would go back again. The only complaint if any is with the dated equipment in the room - twenty year old phone, TV etc. - definitely needs changing. The corridors can also do with a face lift. The place looks like a three star place - but would definitely need to invest in it's rooms to get there.

My parents and I happened to stay at The Prestige for two days. This is a comfortable and clean hotel at a good location. Hats off to the staff! They were very courteous and friendly. Any time of the day, they greeted the guests with a smile. On the second day of the stay, we noticed water leaking from the falls. Informed the reception and immediately there were people to check out. And when they couldn't figure out the problem, they gave us another room. We did have some problem with hot water in the second room, we just decided to ignore it.

They offer complimentary breakfast at the Diesel Cafe, which is not that great. You have to pick two dishes from a list of four. The portions are small (one idli and one vada!!!). We did have dinner at the Diesel Cafe and that was not bad. The food at the other restaurant Deja Vu is not that great. We ordered some Prawn mulakittathu and it was too sour to eat. And when we informed the person at the restaurant, he said the dish is supposed to be sour!!! What he didn't realize was that we were from the land of mulakittathu!

Best thing for food is to explore the small eateries for good and yummy sea food.

First the positives: Friendly staff, Clean rooms
Next the negatives:
1) Super deluxe room a joke, the smallest room I have seen in that category anywhere
2) The door to the room looks like it was bought off in a second hand sale, with a creaky lock
3) The windows would not lock. Just had to slide them shut, without locking
4) Bathroom fittings old, no maintenance
5) Quite noisy even during the nights from traffic outside
6) Bathroom doesn't have independent ventilation to the outside. A small vent opens into the room.
7) Limited choice for breakfast

Room Tip: Check out the room, especially its size, before accepting

We thank you for sharing your valuable feedback on Trip Advisor. First and foremost please accept our sincere apology for the unpleasant experience you had during your stay with us. It is rather unfortunate that we could not meet your expectations. Secondly the size of our Super Deluxe room is around 250Sq. Ft plus the toilet is around 60 Sq. Ft. which should be on average size when you consider a Budgeted property. The other points have been taken into consideration.
We are happy to inform you that we have started upgrading our property and have completed the First Floor. The up-gradation is done considering all the suggestion which we had received from our guests. Few of your suggestions have also been considered like the Entrance door and the furniture’s have been redone with veneer finish, Card locking system has be implemented for easy locking, Our old TV’s have been replaced with 32” Flat wall mounted TV’. The bath rooms are also totally re-done with Cubicles in Superior rooms and German Brand Grohe fixtures in all the toilets. We have also started working on Sound Proofing of our rooms. I am sure you will notice a perceptible difference on your next visit to our Hotel.

This is a very god hotel , with nice location and service. The front desk has good staff and we surely enjoyed our stay here in Oct 2012.
The rooms are clean and tidy. The wifi connection in the room was little weak,but cannot generalize this for all rooms.

Good location, Good room, Good breakfast, Decent price... Room service was good, rather than throwing in a mattress as Extra bed, the attendant made the bed proper with tucking in quilt and pillows. They also made travel arrangments for us at the last minute notice and the guys they referred were good. We booked the room through email, probably they can use internet better seeing how much they are liked in the internet! Thanks....

Room Tip: Rooms facing road are a bit noisy, check with them

I stayed here during the month of july, room was good but it was a bit small compare to other hotels.The TV are old models it shold be replced LCD in place of old models.Espeacialy bath rooms clean and good.

Room Tip: Left side of the hotel rooms are good compare to right side.

As per your dissatisfaction regarding the room size we would like to inform you that our basic rooms are of an average size but the superior rooms are larger, If you would have checked our special Deluxe or the Suite Room (bed room is separate from the sit out room which has sofa seating for general discussion with room guests visitors), you would have really felt the difference.
Good News For you. We have started upgrading our property and have completed the First Floor. The up gradation is done considering all the suggestion which we had received from our guests. Few of your suggestions like Table Mounted old TV’s have been replaced with 32” Flat wall mounted TV’s. The bath rooms are also totally done with Cubicles in Superior rooms and German Brand Grohe fixtures in all the toilets. It was a pleasure to know that you were happy with the cleanliness part from our Housekeeping Dept. and same has been passed on to the Housekeeping team. We look forward to welcome you back to experience our fresh and newly done rooms.
