Still searching for better words to describe the wonderful experience of our stay in Thotadhahalli home stay. We , a group of seven friends stayed there for three days. We usually prefer Hotels or Resorts. This time we chose Thotadhahalli after doing lot of research in internet . This was our first time in a homestay and Prakash Uncle made it really memorable for us. Lovely and clean rooms! Awesome malnad cuisine! Pampering hospitality ! & Pallavi aunty’s awesome deserts ! Everything is the best . Truly a paradise on earth and there are plenty of surprises waiting for you ,I recommend Thotadhahalli for everyone who read this review to stay once.
Thank You Prakash Uncle , Pallavi Aunty and Ruthvik for a lovely holiday !

We haven't stayed here - but we did try, and were looking forward to it because of the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, We were looking for somewhere to stay in this area, so emailed twice (to the email address on their website), but received no reply. Then we rang three times, to the mobile and land-line numbers on the website, but no reply. Later someone did return our call but she had no knowledge of our e-mails, and seemed a little off-hand and unconcerned about the lack of communication. It turned out that they couldn't accommodate us for the dates we were hoping for; I asked what dates they did have free, but the answer was unclear. She said she would confirm the situation by email, but 2 weeks later, still no reply. Maybe there is an email problem, but I wanted to alert potential travellers to the possibility of poor communication; and to suggest to the owners that they need to attend to their communications, if they want to maintain their excellent reputation.

We were looking for a home stay holiday in Chikmagalur and Thotadhahalli was suggested by one of my friends. To say we enjoyed our stay would be an understatement! Firstly, its a home stay in the true sense of the word. The place is perfectly located in the midst of coffee and pepper plantations, surrounded by greenery and the only noises you hear are the birds and the occasional visit by leapords!
Our hosts, Mr.Prakash and family treated us as one of their own pampering us with the most sumptuous food, their home grown coffee and great wine! Also Mrs. Pallavi's desserts are a must have!
They are not in your face, but see to it that you are taken care of in all respects. They will also join you for an occasional drink.
Prakash also takes you on off road drives in the middle of the night, catering to the adventure bugs.
Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean with lovely open verandas and a beautifully manicured lawn in front.
You can also indulge in long walks in the estate, watch fresh coffee being grounded and soak in the aroma or just laze around with a drink and watch the wold go by!
great food, great hosts and a great place. We couldn't have chosen a better place for a holiday in Chikmagalur.
Will Definitely visit again. Recommend it for families, friends and couples. Solo too wouldn't be a bad idea!

Vasudev and friends.

We visited this homestay after referring reviews on tripadvisor and we had a wonderful holiday here. We loved everything, starting from hospitality of owners, great interiors n exteriors, delicious food, loving dogs, and a ride in the coffee estate at night. Would love to visit the place again and recommend it to have memorable holidays. Thanks to Mr. Prakash and Mrs.Pallavi.-

Although I had seen enough good reviews about the home stay on Trip Advisor, I had to be there to believe the 'paradise on earth'. Beautiful interiors and exteriors, amazing and carefully presented healthy cuisine, (affectionately sometimes served by owners themselves), hospitable owners, loving dogs that themselves guide you to and back from a private stream in the estate are the highlights......the jeep drive through the estate at night was completely surreal and reminds you what life's simple joys are all about....Must visit place in all senses! Thanks Prakash and Pallavi for making our holiday so memorable!!!

I m thankful to Mr Prakash and his family for making my stay at Thotadahalli ,most memorable one with lovely ambiance and warm hospitality throughout our stay. They gave a warm welcome to each and every guest as their own family member and took gr8 care about our needs and taste. My son thoroughly enjoyed playing in the lawn and estate tour in the night.Food was awesome and we all had an amazing experience in the night with good starters and variety of malnad dishes they prepared with love andcare..
The room was very spacious with antique setting..nice place to relax and unwind ourself after tiring journey and for kids this place is not less then their grandparents home.I specially recommend this place to family of 4 or more to experience the stay which is worth our expectation....Hats off to Mr &Mrs Prakash.
