I have just returned from Bangalore after spending 4 nights at Chancery Pavillion. Its an excellent hotel with all the trappings of a star hotel. Rooms are comfortable, service is prompt and courteous and charges are as per a 5 star in Bangalore. This last one is added as it is steep as compared to Delhi. Have to bear with it as this is IT city. They have a fair sized swimming pool. well equipped gym and a lavish buffet spread for breakfast. The reception is very efficient and courteous and the girls there are just drop dead beauties. Overall an excellent place to stay.

We decided to splash out on our first hotel in India and so through expedia we got a good deal for 130 dollars a night includes breakfast and a fantastic evening meal, some free laundry and a free bottle of wine... we availed of all of these! Hotel is great quality, staff lovely and the gym, pool and all facilities fabulous. YES the security is tight due to the terrorist threat they feel is present but not over the top.

Our little bit of luxury was well worth it and it was a good experience. Shop around for deals and it could make staying here affordable.

  • Liked — the luxury of it compared to our normal backpacking

Embarrassed by the hotel

The hotel was beautiful and the rooms super comfortable. Due to the security situation in Mumbai which occurred the day before, the hotel had boosted understandably. Guests were required to have their luggage unpacked and checked before entry into the hotel again understandably. I was however made to unpack mine on the floor of the driveway, in the rain and in front of passers by who were able to see exactly what i had packed including my underwear. I was absolutely mortified. There could have at least been a screen and table set up for this purpose, avoiding embarrassment to guests checking in. I was later sent an email a few days later asking me for a customer review of their hotel. I responded to the survey underlining my above concerns. It is now a week later and i have still not been contacted about my concerns nor have i received an apology. I would have given the hotel an excellent rating if this would not have occurred. I am truly disappointed with the customer service of this hotel.

I recently spent two nights at the Chancery Pavilion hotel and I was quite impressed with the property. They offered free wifi in all the rooms. They also had free water, fruit and cookies everyday.

The rooms were large and spacious with a couch and a medium sized desk. The bathroom had everything you need, except mine had a peculiar odour.

The breakfast buffet was average--lots of items on offer with enough choices for vegetarians and carnivores alike and eggs made to order.

Room service was very fast, but the food wasn't upto the mark. The humus I ordered was the smallest helping of humus I have ever been served. I didn't get to try any of the restaurants, so not much to say there.

All said, I found the hotel quite well suited to a business trip--there isn't much by way of entertainment, but it's a comfortable and efficient hotel with all the amenities a business traveller needs.

Just completing my stay at the pavilion for 8 nights. It's located just 5 minutes from M.G. road, which is actually a plus, cause they are making a metro on M.G. road, so it is quite noisy there. No noice at this location.

First off the service is really good. 3 guys clean your room everyday, and everything is available for you 24/7 at your beckon call.

The room is really large, sofa area, work area, king size bed, and 80 tv channels, big bathroom, no complaints there at all.

They pride themselves on being tech savy, well, be patient, the net often goes down, and it is not always so wireless, but all you have to do is pick up the phone and they come running, even at 3 AM.

the restaurants are good, if you are working hard all the days, you don't have to be conserned about dining. their indian food is excellent, and if you want western food, they are half decent as well. Prices are of course higher than outside, but actually not that pricy. Around 25 dollars for 2 people. There is a really good sushi place just 1 minute from hotel.

I should mention that the breakfast is really good and include about 100 selections.

there is one thing that's a bit strange. their service is really good and reasonable priced, even the minibar, but the laundry prices are ridiculous. Around 2-3 dollars per item. But to make up for it, they give complementary water, chocolates and cookies everyday, a nice little treat.

All in All a good 5 star hotel, but cannot give it a 5 star tripadvisor rating, because it lacks a bit of charm like the oberoi or taj, but the price is also 1/3 cheaper than those places, so I would definitely stay here again, if the company didn't want to pay that extra 1/3.
