We celebrated a quiet wedding anniversary here with my immediate family in this restaurant. It was a wonderful experience.
This the first South Indian cuisine restaurant that we have discovered with a good ambiance. Normally, good South Indian food is served in eateries where you have to stand and eat or generally not so good looking places. This is an exception.
Food is wonderful. South Indian cuisine is much unexplored and hence the idea is leave it to the chef to prepare a meal for you. This is what we did. Since South Indian starters are very appealing, we requested him to get a larger supply of "starters". For good measure, he sent one starter served in Chinese upstairs that my family likes as well. After an endless series of starters, we had a wonderful main course with Idiyappam, appam, kallu dose and a verity of curries. We are vegetarian and hence the wide choice of palyas, tavves and gojjus delighted us. There is a bar next to the restaurant where you can relax before going in and of course, drinks are served at the table too.
The restaurant is still not very crowded as people have not discovered it and hence perhaps we could get seats. It is tucked away in a part of Crescent road that is not too occupied at night.
Restaurant is new. We could not find too many negatives. Staff are well trained.
