“Awesome Pizzas, Croissants and Baguette”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

If you love pizzas, baguette or croissants do visit this place. You can either dine-in or order for takeaways. They also serve wine to go along with pizzas. Food is great and served in a very homely atmosphere. There are some delightful desserts on offer but the trick is to visit early if you don't want to be disappointed as the place can become pretty crowded on weekends. Overall experience is very satisfying. Only drawback - they don't accept credit cards.

“European charm hidden in Bangalore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

Having just moved to Bangalore a few weeks ago, one of the first recommendations we were given was for Mariannick's bread (baguettes and so on) which she sells from the restaurant on weekdays. We did not know that the restaurant existed until another fellow expat took us there on Saturday night for dinner. The bread was truly amazing (as good as the best bread you can buy in France) and the crepes we had were also the real deal. We enjoyed the hospitality provided by Shashi the owner/co-owner and left feeling very happy to have found the place.

Note- if you go for the 2- or 3- crepe deal, you don't need to order them all at once, or they will arrive together!

“Food gave us a bad tummy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

Decided to give the place the benefit of the doubt and went back. (Read my other review from a few months ago here - http://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g297628-d2042005-r123643895-Chez_Mariannick-Bangalore_Karnataka.html) Turned out to be a big, big mistake. Terrible, cold, half-hearted service. Mediocre food. Unsettling feeling that the white expats were being served MUCH better. But worst of all - both my husband and I came down with a bad tummy the following morning. Never going back and I'm relieved to see this undeserving place dislodged from the No.1 slot.

“Pleasant Surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

Just went in for a casual dinner and was surprised how authentic the pizza and salad were. The baguette was the best I have tasted in bangalore, and much better than Breadworks.
I used to live in the Cote d'Azur, France, and this just took me back to those moments in paradise.

The young owners came out and greeted us, and also personally took care of minor issues that came up. my only complaint is that they were out of the croissants ( it was night time though)and I wanted to give them a try. A good Boulanger must be judged on his baguette and pain chocolate.

“Love this place!!!! PIZZA IS GREAT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

I am an American in India - I have lived from New York to Chicago to Los Angeles, I currently reside in Kansas City. The food here was excellent, the salad is awesome, the dressing is something kids will just dunk bread (unlimited bread, water & salad included with your meal) wine available by the bottle or by the glass - had the red & it was tremendous!!! I have not yet tried the crepes, but everything else on the menu...especially desserts are UNBELIEVABLE!! The chocolate toffee cheesecake is to die for!! Pizza is great, the crust is done perfectly in a wood fueled oven, the cheese on the pizza is wonderful, & pizza toppings are fresh & generous. They only take cash - as long as you are prepared for that - to me its not a big deal. Sometimes service is a little hectic, but for what you get the service to me is part of the ambiance!!! Owner is hands on, friendly, honest & hard-working. I have been here twice & plan on returning soon!
