Description: Tucked away in the by-lanes near the Forum Mall, Koramangala is "Little Italy", the well-known fine dine Italian and Mexican speciality restaurant which has just completed four years and is now a landmark destination for all food lovers.Little Italy, Koramangala has a pleasant and cosy ambience overlooking natural greenery. The alfresco seating has few tables laid out under a skylight and lined with bamboo plants. White walls offset the deep brown furniture in the inside area, giving the restaurant a rather elegant and classy look. The evening mood is romantic with lantern bulb lighting accentuated by the unique interior setup. The well-stocked bar set in one of the corners offers imported/Indian liquor, wines & medley of cock-tails and mock-tails. The first floor is contemporary and plays host to get-togethers, candle-light dinners, kitty parties, birthday parties, Dance/DJ parties, cricket/football match projections on large screen. This exquisite place delivers thin crust pizzas baked in an open-view wood fire oven. Amongst the wide variety of pizzas ranging from the ever green "Margherita" to the extensively topped "Pizza Mellino", there exist some signature options like the "Calzone Al Forno" - a closed pizza. Going beyond the Pizzas are the Pastas... Based on Tomato, Cheese and Pesto sauces, and their intertwining combinations, pastas like "Pasta Barbaresca", “Pasta Del Barone”, “Masala Mafia” have become all time favourites. As pre-cursors, there are Zuppe(soups), Insalata(salads) and Anti-Pasti(starters). "Insalata Mista" has many fans, as have the Assorted platters, Bruschettas and Mexican starters - "Nachos with Cheese" and "Cheese corn balls". The melting “Cheese Fondue” is truly out of this world. The Lasagne's and Risotto's score well among the specialities. The tail end is held up by the excruciatingly mouth watering "Chocolate Bomb" - a melody of ice cream with overflowing chocolate. The cheesecakes, pancakes and dessert pizzas are a sinful delight for the sweet-toothed. The “Weekday Lunch Buffet” and “Sunday Brunch” with its sumptuous spread of Italian, Mexican, Mongolian and Lebanese fare is already a hit.In short, here’s a place well worth a visit and repeat visits...

“Great restaurant offering good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Was at Little Italy restaurant on 100feet road Indiranagar, with family and friends. Great location and valet parking services are offered, making life easy. Just be aware that there are two italian restaurants on the same side of 100 feet road, just few metres apart, which kind of more or less look similar from outside :-) Make sure you read the name of the restaurant before entering!

We experienced outstanding service at Little Italy. And food was good and served well. Staff was very tolerant with a little toddler in our team who kept running up and down the restaurant until we were done. And he also got a bread made specially for him and some french fries, thanks to the staff.

Over all, a nice restaurant to go to. Good ambience, good staff and good food.

Will visit again!

“EBuffet is supreme!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

I went to little italy a few weeks back with my friends. We went for the weekday buffet, which people had told us was worth it. Initially, we felt the price a bit high, but as the food was served we realised it was worth it because the price of the meal ordered outside the buffet would be about three times more. The pastas, mainly the red sauce spaghetti and the pizzas mainly mediterranean were just superb...overall, an excellent meal

Dear Harry,

Thanks for your lovely feedback and it was great to have you over. We are so glad you loved the pastas and pizzas. They are indeed very popular amongst our guests. The pizza that you mention is the Pizza Mellino (P.32), and this is one of our signature pizzas.

Do try the new additions to the menu especially the Spinaci Verdure Crespelle and the Vegetable Au Gratin on your next visit.

Look forward to having you over again soon.

regards

“Little Italy - An Idyllic restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

Little Italy is definitely a great location both for a quiet private meal or a fun lunch with family or friends.

The restaurant is located on a not so crowded street (which is not quite as common in the Kormangala area in Bangalore) and offers valet parking. The ambiance of the restaurant begins with the tree that has grown just outside the main entrance. As you enter through the gates, you start to expect a quite, peaceful setting almost like one of the old Portuguese houses that you see on the postcards from Goa.

As you get inside there is a nice buffet and quite inviting buffet laid out with couple of chefs waiting in the live pasta counter towards one corner. This it self is quite adequate to get your taste buds tingling. We opt for a ala carte meal and are guided towards the restaurant on the first floor. The first floor section of the restaurant is constructed well with a lot of wood used in the construction. The décor is simple with a lot of (what I suppose to be Italian) paintings on the walls and arrangements in the sealing to create temporary partitions to give its patrons further privacy I assume. However all those ceiling curtains are raised and hence we have access to the entire floor. There is a glass window running across the length of one wall that gives you a view of trees and foliage on the backside of the restaurant. By it self, this vegetation might not be very attractive but sitting there with sun filtering through some of those trees creates a very rustic ambiance for you to enjoy your food.

We settle at one of the tables near this window and straight away order for a plate of Bruschetta and then start glancing through the menu. For a entirely vegetarian menu, the variety on offer is immense. The menu is consists of sections for Appetizers, Pizzas, First Course, Second Course and Desserts. The fact that the menu extends to 13 pages is a testimony to the kind of lavish spread that you are treated to. While we are deciding on the pasta that we would like to have, our plate of Bruschetta arrived. The bread layered with fresh cut tomato salsa, parsley and olive oil was visually as appealing as it was from a taste perspective. It was fresh, light and crisp. Just the way we like it.

The Bruschetta was followed by the pasta of our choice and we loved what we got in terms of taste and texture. The quantity per serving was extremely impressive. The restraint demonstrated by the chef in the use of ingredients was impressive and made the meal a bit more special. I was able to devour the entire serving in part because of the balance of flavors maintained in the dish. We also ordered a mocktail which was nothing but a glass of Limca with a bit of Blue Curacao added to it. This did not make much of an impression on us but I guess that does not really take away from the experience.

What did hurt the experience that we had a bit was the fact that the staff was more than once quite indifferent to us. We had to wait to grab attention of any of the staff members and eventually call out to them. This might have been understandable on a crowded day but with only three tables being occupied, it was not very pleasant to have to wait to pass on an instruction. Barring that little glitch, Little Italy checked all the right boxes when it comes to a nice weekend lunch.

We will surely be back at this joint (and may be try out the buffet the next time around).
